Charging the LG G3 = Long and Painful!

Same here. The charge port is a different fit from most other phones, oh well. My 1.8v charger adds about a percent a minute. If I had to I'd carry a charger with me at all times and plug in to every open socket to keep this bad@ss phone in... I would. G3 ROCKS!

I plugged my phone into the supplied charger tonight...
Phone was down to 21%... Charging with phone on...
One hour into charging it is at 77%
At 90 minute mark it is at 98%.
Like I said before... My phone will pretty much charge in two hours.

I think the G3 actually charges rather quickly, I was down to 15% yesterday and plugged it in, took about an hour and fourty five minutes to charge to 100%.

I angle the charger downward slightly when plugging it into the phone. I found it "goes in" a little easier that way.

Its funny how many forums and posts are affected by how insanely crazy good the g2 was on battery life. G3 is being held to the same standard but it has the same size battery as g2 but a larger (crazy ppi) screen, next gen specs (801 2.5 ghz, 3 gig ram) and ART (so far crazy fast but less efficient). The genius part is LG knew the battery would struggle compared to g2 so they made it removable for replacements and oem upsizes, the detachable back allowed the spot for sd card slot (my opinion).

Not sure if you figured anything out because the stock charger will take mine from 1% to 100% in about 90 minutes. You need to return your unit, its bad.

Figured it out! The charger that comes with the phone is crap! 1.8Amp is garbage, I got into my car at 10:01 with 60% at 10:20 it was at 80% and that's a car charger on 2.4Amp charger! So I ordered now a 2.4Amp charger from Amazon!!!

I personally think it comes down to the chargers and that LG is not great as far as charger quality. From experience and from the N4 forums, I've dealt with a bad LG charger as bad as 10% per hour. I woudn't be surprised a variance between that give a 2 hour charge to 3. If there was an electrician in the house maybe they would have some device to measure true output from the chargers.

Mine takes what seems like a long time to charge as well. I don't have solid numbers but there's been a few times that I put it on the charger at 1am with 20-30% and wake up at 5:30am only to have it at 80%. Seems like 4-5 hours should get it more than 60% charge.

Yup. I figured this out as well. The charger from my LG Optimus G and a spare LG charger I got off Amazon work much better.

Mine also is hard to put in

Try angling the microUSB tip down slightly when you insert. I found this makes connecting the charging cable easier. The other option is to switch to a wireless charging set up.

This is what I'm getting as well. Charges very quickly but ONLY with the charger that came with it. My old Samsung chargers and USB charging is very slow though.
