Chat bubbles

I have a Pixel 5 and I still don't have chat bubbles for the messages app.

Well, just out of curiosity, are you enrolled in the Google Messages beta program? Because if you’re not, you won’t get the chat bubble unfortunately. Only the beta program has The chat bubbles enabled. On my pixel 5, chat bubbles work beautiful!

I'm not in the beta. I didn't realize chat bubbles was a beta feature since there is a setting for it in the main settings app.

yeah, I really do! I’m not so sure what chapel balls are considered a bit of program feature either. However, they are. You have to be enrolled in the beta program of Google messenger to get the chat bubbles. Check it out I think you might like it!

I think Google posted that it was rolling out to everyone a few months ago, and put the option in Settings. But it seems like it never really rolled out to everyone yet, still seems to be stuck in beta for some reason. Kind of like Assistant Driving Mode, they said that was rolling out in November and it's still not available to everyone.

Thank you for letting us know about this!

There was a Google messages app update yesterday )3.15.21.) Chat Bubbles, if enabled, is working with Messages on my Google Pixel 4XL for my iPhone and Android contacts.

That's great! Thanks for letting us know!

Chat Bubbles started appearing on my Pixel 4 and Google Messages a few days ago.

well, that’s interesting, because of my pixel three XL, and my pixel 5, I’ve had chat bubbles for quite a while now on my android messages beta app.

Even though Google announced it was out of Beta and available for everyone months ago, I think the reality is that it's finally rolling out to folks that are not in the Beta version of Messages. Little slow this time around Google, a little slow.

Oh, ?????? how lovely that is then! Did not realize that LOL.

Just out of curiosity, for everyone here, how many of us actually use the chat bubbles for android messages. Or for any app that is compatible with chat bubbles?

Had it for a day, turned it off. Found it annoying.

I use them and prefer them. But I have been using something similar for apps on my S10+ for the last year "smart pop up view" so I like the bubbles. Work with signal, plus (telegram app) as well as Messenger and messages.

I had chat bubbles in an old app called Floatify. No longer being supported as Android added alot of the features in this app making it obsolete. Great app for my budget phone at the time
