I just received my new s5 from amazon wireless 2 days ago. While closely inspecting the phone, I noticed chipped metal above the samsung logo where the sound comes out of ( I don't know what it's called ).

Do you guys think I'm overreacting by wanting to get a replacement? What would you guys do

Nothing else is wrong with the phone.

It's called the bezel. If it bothers you that much than return it. A brand new device should be in perfect condition.

mine came this way too from the verizon store. They had already put on my tempered glass screen protector before i noticed... so i didnt even bother with the hassle of exchanging it.

I agree with Greg above. If its bothersome to you now, it will still bother you later. The phone will eventually get dings or nicks, but why start with something you didn't cause.

Eh, I'm just worried that Amazon might have sold me a phone that was returned/used as New ( i hope that's not the case). But I'm thinking about just keeping it as long as it does not affect call quality.

I'm willing to bet that's what happened. The phone someone returns for whatever reason will be looked over to make sure it works than put back into circulation. Cosmetic flaws are overlooked to the point where it can be gotten away with.

Over reacting? No. It's your money, if it bothers you exchange/return it.
