Choppy Scrolling

I have had my nexus 4 for about 2 weeks now. For the first week it was amazingly smooth when scrolling in all applications. About a week ago it began being very choppy while scrolling in apps (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Chrome, etc). Flicking between homescreens and app pages is still great as always though. I've tried doing multiple factory resets and even with nothing installed (except one of the apps having a problem) the scrolling is still really choppy.

Anyone else experienced anything like this? Any suggestions on fixing?

Thanks!

I think a virus can bypass factory resets? I think, dunno worth a try. Get an anti virus program

Thanks for the suggestion, but just ran Avast and it found nothing...

Ugh, sucks man. Avast is the best I think.
Well it's not the hardware problem I don't think unless maybe there are two slots for ram and one of it got short circuited or something?
I'm just shooting out of my ass at this moment.

I don't know much/anything about the n4, but I remember someone else having this problem after we received the JB update to our EVOs. Surprisingly the fix was as easy as turning on and then off "Power Save" mode. Hope this helps.

Thanks, but again no luck :(

It seems to happen more in apps with images. Things like scrolling through list of contacts in people app and my files in drop box are smooth...

Well the Nexus 4 HAS no power saving mode. Plus no apps are running since he reinstalled.

Mine is like this as well.it has been driving me nuts. Facebook, Google plus, android central app all have choppy scrolling . when I'm on a webpage I have no problems at all. I have not found a solution for it.

Glad to finally find someone else having the problem was thinking maybe I was going crazy...

Has yours always been this way or was it ok when you first got it?

Have you enabled Developer Mode and enabled forced 2D GPU rendering?

Yep, and that seems to help a bit, but choppiness is definitely still there.

My Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 both are quite choppy. It's quite annoying.
I'm just chiming in, I have nothing useful to offer.

Mine has always been like this I think. I noticed it pretty early on anyway. I kept thinking how annoying it was that everyone called the phone so smooth when it was so choppy so I guess that isn't normal........ But my gs3 was a lot smoother. Hoping this rumored update fixes it

I think a lot of these issues are app specific. We get updates that aren't always optimized for the latest OS. It's just the way it is when you have a Nexus. That's why it doesn't happen on every app. It's a developer phone.

My Nexus 7 became choppy about 2 weeks after receiving it. It's mostly just on the home screens when scrolling between pages and trying to swipe down the notification and settings bar. Sometimes it won't even let me swipe them down. They "shoot" back closed. Anyone figured anything out? That's the only problem I have with the tablet.
