clearing address bar in internet

when you click the address bar in the internet app, a bunch of previous websites pop up in a drop down bar. i tried clearing the history and everything but I cant figure out how to delete these. Can anyone help? thanks.

Get an app called History Eraser, it will clear that out for you as well as other stuff like Android market, google maps, and phone call logs in a few clicks.

Really? I went to browser settings and cleaned catch, cookies, history, password, etc anything that cleanable, all those stuffs gone.

If it's the stock browser, go to Settings/Privacy & security, and then tap Clear history.

Go to android'sbsettings/applications and find your browser then clear its data, it will wipe all data from browser.

Hehe, its funny that people suggest clearing data if they dont know how to solve app problem without warning that you will lose all data, yet if it comes for real perpose of this function they forget about it ^^'
