Delete Browser History, Web notifications?

Chrome History Clear browsing data Time range only address last number of weeks????

I want to keep last number of weeks and delete old browsing data. I must have several hundred history items in list.

I selected last 4 weeks and it deleted the most current history, my last 4 weeks. That is a stupid option?

Also I seem to be getting notifications in my pull down from dozens of web sites. How do I go through a list and disable those web sites I do not want notifications from.

I find Chrome feature lacking.

For notifications, go to the Chrome settings, then Notifications, then scroll down to Sites. You can toggle them on or off there.

I'm not aware of a way to clear old browsing data but keep more recent data. Send Google feedback about this by tapping the question mark icon at the upper right of the Chrome settings menu, then Send Feedback.
