Hi

I have a big problem with my Tab s 10.5 LTE 32 GB with SD card 120 GB (Lollipop 5.0.2 -unrooted), and both mem spaces are nearlley empty - the thing is, a great number of clips I record with the tablet's camera - cannot be played (I tried lots of players) - neither on the tablet neither anywhere (pc, laptop etc)!!!

The same is with photos, they - some cannot be viewed (some even are half ok and half just one color, like, nothing). And all this happens randomly, sometimes yes sometimes now. - without any rule or pattern.

And it seems to me that it doesn't matter where the photo was taken (indoor, outdoor etc)....and the clip as well

I surfed the net allot regarding this matter but nowhere I could find any info - like I'm the only one with this problem LOL

I can ad that the issue was happening even before the final (lollipop) update.

Please do You have any idea what could be at hand?? I am kind of desperate...

I am sorry no one else seems to have any info. But the additional information you provided (or did I miss it in the other thread) about half the image is missing or colored makes it sound as if either the sd -card or maybe even the Tab S itself has problems. How old is your Tablet? Do you still have a warranty? Can you try your sd card in a friend's tablet or cell phone?

I don't recall have you tried saving pictures to Internal Memory (does the tab s allow that?) or borrow a card from a friend or buy one where you can return it and try a different card. But somehow your files are not being saved properly.

There are also an app or two which can determine if your sd-card is a fake or counterfeit, no matter what the label says.

Good luck.

I am having the same issue with my samsung s5. I have a 32GB sumsung card and I have recently found that when my pictures and videos are saved direct to the SD card the will not playback. I have tried the same card on my old samsung and when I record direct to the SD card I can playback fine. I did find a post somewhere? that mentioned that this was a security feature stopping apps from writing direct to an SD card to limit viruses but I have not found any way around the issue. My SD card is not corrupt as I have tried other new cards with the same result??? Have you had any feedback on how to resolve your problem. I am sure I saw a post that said to delete the "no image file" that was located somewhere but I can no longer find the post

I received the new sd card and it seems to be fine now.... I did not encounter the same issue (yet).

Regarding the bypassing that you are saying - most of the info on the net regarding that matter say that rooting the device is the only way to do it...
