I need to figure out if its used or not. Or if I need a recovery.fstab or what......
Actually, the one i did was on 2.6.29, which used init.rc & recovery.rc, I don't think 2.6.32 does.

Ok I have no coding skills , heck I can barley bend over to tie my shoes without choking, I appreciate all this work but I have a question I was hoping would get awnsered. Why is Clockwork considered a stepping stone to Cyanogen? When I had my Hero CDMA and flashed Cyano I would immediatley reflash back to Amon-RA Recovery which seems to be what ThundeRom's recovery is based on and I had no problems with running Cyano with Amon-RA so why is this a prerequisite? Excuse my ignorance and thanks for the reply.

Thanks SM both for all your hard work and the quick reply.
im having trouble installing this, when i get to
# mv /system/etc/install-recovery.sh /system/etc/install-recovery.sh.bak
it says "no such file or directory "
im doing this via terminal
Type this
ls /system/bin/
does it have install-recovery.sh listed or any file with recovery.sh in the name?
i didn't type what you said, i just check via root explorer
i also checked in /system/etc
but i didn't see anything like what you mentioned
Then i would say skip that command. I think it was removed when lg/sprint put out the update to v9. If it pushes you back into the stock recovery look for that file again but i think your in the clear.
Is there any difference between this recovery and the one used in the ThunderRom tutorial? I apologize. I don't know what the name of that recovery is.
If there is a difference, can I just flash this over my current recovery?
They are basically the same. I think this has a few extra options. The major difference is this is green/black and the other is blue/black.lol I personally have used both and they both do the job. Im currently running this one cause i know smccloud worked hard to get this for us(everyone with optimus) Ill probably keep using this one just cause i seem to like it.

I know this is off topic but is it an Amahi home server. And also just wanna say thanks for yours (and everyone elses for that matter) hard work you guys rock.I'd be doing more work tonight if I didn't have to take my fileserver down to upgrade it to F14.

And I ask if it is because they are the only ones that used fedora 12 as a base and are now upgrading to 14.
