Compilation of RANDOM REBOOTING issue - advanced users, please read and help.

My EVO has rebooted probably 6 times today and it's starting to piss me off a little. Even my Pre didn't have issues like this. I wonder if it's a particular app doing it since it's only been acting up since yesterday.

thats what ive come to, may have to do a hard reset, i havent been able to figure out which one, since i reset it i dont think i put all the same apps back on.

About 2-3 times/day at seemingly random times.

EVO usually acts a little constipated (CPU maxed, non-responsive)...for a minute or so right before rebooting.

Had my first random reboot on Thursday while talking to my wife. Just listening to her and then I hear that wonderful Sprint splash screen music. It was weird because I could hear her talking until the splash screen went away and the home screen came up. Today it has done it 4 times. I have noticed that it is doing it much more frequently when I do not have a good signal. It is beginning to drive me nuts...

Had this issue today, multiple reboots about 5mins apart. Couldnt figure it out. Pulled the battery etc. Rebooted then Turned off mobile network connection and everything was fine. waited about 30mins then did another reboot, turned mobile network back on and hasn't happened since.

I figured out the issue with mine was turning off "always-on mobile data". Once I turned that back on everything was fine and no reboots.

I had this issue a few nights ago, probably 10-15x in rapid succesion. I thought it was water damage due to my application of a phantom skin about 5 hrs earlier. Also, it wouldn't charge for a few minutes. The next morning i experienced another random reboot. Did a manual reboot after, and no problems since. Only been a few days, so... we'll see.

So mine is still rebooting randomly after a hard reset. It started randomly rebooting before I rooted my Evo, then I decided to root it, and now it still continues.... I'm considering bringing it in and swapping it out :/ Anyone else find a solution? I would turn on mobile data but it seems like it sucks the battery

i think its most definitely a software problem that or the battery is getting loose just for a second and causing a restart.

my problem was the tunewiki music app once i removed it then my phone returned to greatness

Yeah mine has done this 3 or 4 times but all spread out. I was on the phone every time it happened, which of course sucks when you have to explain to the other person what happened with your brand new phone. I can't remember for sure, but I think I had 4G on every time. I think the wimax radio is interfering with my Bluetooth earpiece too at least for the person I am talking to. Hopefully if these are really problems with the wimax radio they are software fixes because I actually am in a 4G city.

mine has been a rebooting fool for the last 4 days or so . . . seems like it is only when I have "auto-sync" turned on

definitely a software issue - - - not buying the battery getting jarred loose - - -i've watched 2 happen in front of me today as the phone was just sitting on my desk in front of me

the sh*tlist is growing for this phone . . . i love it but damn, c'mon

Turn the option for Always On Mobile Data back On (so its enabled). That's been working for most people I've talked to after it solved my problems.
