completely over hearing about the s8 everyday.

well then you should be glad you don't buy anything from LG then.
thanks for trolling. lol

wasn't trolling just stating facts. i loved LG but i refuse to buy another cellular device until they fix that issue. i have an lg tv and a LG refrigerator those are great, but phones are a no no

no thats not the same. lol ALL OF LG PHONES SINCE THE G3 HAVE BOOTLOOPED. WHEN I SAY ALL I MEAN ALL! and they dont seem to care to fix it. thats exactly why they are getting a class action lawsuit filed against them. and i believe the note 7 was Samsungs only device to do that, and they have fixed it. unlike lg who seems to be negligent towards the bootloop.

There have been very few legitimate bootloops on G5 and V20. I can think of one or possible legtimate cases

I have said it before in other threads but it bears repeating here. Anytime you buy anything, there is a risk and chance that it could have some flaw that may or may not show up immediately. Things are unpredictable. I do woodworking as a hobby and sometimes when cutting a piece of wood on my table saw the wood will warp or twist. Should I blame Home Depot or wherever I bought the wood at? Who's responsible?
No one is.

Bottom line is that no phone is meant to last forever and immune from potential problems no matter how many tests and conditions they try to simulate.

This is false
Again only my G4 has ever bootlooped
My G5 never has and is still going

give it time. and why is there a class action lawsuit against them if my statement is false. your g4 probably hasnt bootlooped but millions of other peoples has. just like everyones not 7 did not explode. its still an issue lg refuses to fix

it DOES NOT MATTER IF IT WAS 1 OR 1000. they have refused to fix the issue period point blank.

We can't have an intelligent discussion unless you do your homework and present facts. You keep stating opinions rather that presenting facts so for me I will gracefully bow out of any further conversation with you.

I'm hoping this thread goes back on topic.

yeah do that bud

Why do people purposely come into a section on this forum for a device they dont own and have never owned to complain about something they arent experiencing?

I'll try and get us back on topic. I'm taking my s8+ back and picking up the G6 again. The G6 was a joy to use day to day. The s8 is great but just feels like a pain in the butt to use for my needs.

what did it for you?

A bunch of stuff. My Huawei watch isn't working right while connected to my lg headphones. Never had that problem with any phone. Some software annoyances. A ton of failed to send text, never had that on any tmobile phone I've used. I switched for the camera, but I'm not seeing much difference in low light. I love the screen, but I'm not keeping it for just that. The G6 if probably the best feeling phone I've used. I

Im reading about the failed text thing and they better get a handle on it real quick. I use Textra and have WiFi calling off so I havent been affected yet but its not good from what Im reading.

There really isnt a big difference in the camera at all, in fact I think I prefer the G6 sharpness over the flat images on the S8.

The G6 is hands down the more comfortable of the two. Im really regretting sending mine back. Dont be surprised if in a couple weeks I end up with another one lol.

I've been seeing more and more reviews about how the G6 camera is actually true to life when it comes to pictures.. Also, the screens have A LOT to do with it, once you place them on your computer for editing, or FB... the difference is minute.

Yeah the G6 images have a better color representation. The S8 over saturates and lacks a bit of sharpness causing them to look a bit flat. The camera on the S8 is faster but not by much. Low light images with movement blur on both phones so thats a wash.

Im finding the way I hold the S8+ is making my thumb strain. Never had that on the G6.

Honestly I cant say enough good things about the G6. I just wish they would have including a couple things from the S8 and it would be perfect for me.

I would have a G6 right now instead of a S8+ if LG had used the SD835. I know, I know, the SD821 is a good processor but part of owning a flagship device is having the newest, most powerful hardware. At least for a while until the next new thing comes out.

I talk on the phone maybe 2 to 3 hours a day for my business and I never thought the s8 would be an issue. Boy was I wrong. It really is a pain just answering the phone and texting and the little things I do for work day to day with the phone. The screen is drop dead gorgeous though, but it isn't like the g6 screen sucks.
