Confirmed coming 5/8

Won't sprint offer a "First to Buy" opportunity to Premier members a few days prior to 5/8? I believe this was done with the Echo. Was there a FTB offered for the Evo, Epic or Shift?

I'd like to go through Sprint if I can avoid the MIR. Assuming there is no MIR, do you have to pay tax on $299 (as opposed to $199)?

Yes, I believe you would have to pay the tax no matter what price you get the phone at. It is tax on the non contract price. So, if the phone is $699.99 then the tax would be $57.75 (here in California) on top of the price be it $299.99 or $199.99. I hope they don't make us pay the $299.99 and then mail in for the rest. It took me a full 8 weeks to get my last rebate (3 months ago). Very aggravating......

Just got the mail:

Coming 5/8. $199.99 After $200 instant savings. Requires a new-line activation (or eligible upgrade) on an Everything Plan with Data, Premium Data add-on and two-year Agreement.

Just in case. Some folks seem to be missing this minor point.

The phone has a full retail of $499.99

The price is $199 for a 2 year contract after a $200 instant rebate and a $100 mail in rebate.

What the site isn't showing is the info regarding the MIR since the instant rebate promotion does not end till the 7th of May.

Its funny how Sprint released this phone after they ended the instant rebate on May 7th. Sure its going to be $199.99 at the Sprint store, but you will probably shell out $299 with a mail in rebate of $100. This is the problem with Sprint, they already shot themselves in the foot with the Nexus S.

I have decided to go with Verizon and get the ThunderBolt. In no time Google will have a phone on the LTE network.

very true but i think they'll extend it...cuz it was suppose to end back in march one day before the echo release and they extended it so hopefully they do the same

Nexux S 4g Coming May 8th (5/8/11)

Just got an email from Sprint that said the Nexus S 4g will be out on May 8th

Where does it say the full retail is $499? I've seen it in the e-mail and in two different places on their website that it is $199 after $200 in instant savings. No MIR is mentioned.

Agreed. this is straight from the fine print on sprint.com/nexus

"$399.99 (two-year price) - $200.00 (instant savings) = $199.99 (final price). "

Sprint's Instant Rebate promotion ends on 5/7, the Nexus goes on sale on 5/8 when the MIR comes back. Believe me I wish it would be $399 as I'm buying at full retail.

See above

I'm going to say retail will be $549....

...$549 minus $150 upgrade....minus $200 instant savings = $199.00

Anyone else find it odd that Sprint hasn't updated their website to indicate that the phone is coming on 5/8?

Not really... they always seem slow with such things. I received the email from Sprint saying May 8th... so I'm sure it is coming out then.

Doesn't surprise me one bit that the website still is not updated. Even our corporate account rep is still acting clueless about the phone "no pre-order information. no release date information, etc.etc.etc."

wtf Sprint?

I stopped by my local Sprint store yesterday to preorder it and the rep had no idea about the release date or how to preorder it:confused: so I drove over to Best Buy and preordered it. :)
