CONFIRMED: Sprint bumping LG G3 release to Friday, July 11th

The $50 gift card at BB doesn't apply to the G3, unfortunately. Says it in the fine print, and it doesn't show the graphic for it in the list of phones.

I went to best buy this morning, they have the gold lg g3 for sprint listed as white, which is what I wanted anyway!

Yup. I called the best buy closest to my work. Their lines were flooded, so I got transferred to backup support (which is basically the 888 number). They were able to process my upgrade, for in store pickup, so all I need to do is go there at lunch and pick the phone up! That was one of the easiest upgrades I've ever done.

Really? That's not what I was told. I had signed up for a $50 gift card promotion back in February, and the current one here: https://www-ssl.bestbuy.com/site/ol...3&type=page&promoCode=RESERVE4&DCMP=rdr124423

While the rep was processing my order, she said that I'd be getting 2 $50 gift cards in the mail. Before, they used to apply the gift cards to the purchase, while in store. Those will apparently be sent to me, after the 14 day period has passed.

I don't know anything about the promo back in february, but if you look at the page you linked at step 3, it excludes it. Maybe you get it from the previous promo, but the current registration specifically excludes the G3. Wish it didn't, as I plan to get the phone tomorrow, possibly.

You are wrong, I went this morning and got my g3 for 99 then used the 50 gc towards the purchase making it 49. It's a good day!

It's not that they're wrong, cuz they're right. It's right in the fine print. Rather, your sales person missed it and/or best buy had not yet coded it to reject G3 sales.

How did you not get charged the $36 connection fee?!?! Mine is coming out to $49 + $36 = $85. Please let me know because as soon as I leave work I'm heading straight to BB!

Ok so I just got my LG G3 from my local Sprint store today around 10am pacific. Loving it so far. I don't know if this is a promo deal with Sprint or what but I was able to use an upgrade and I got it for only $99, and with their buyback program I ended up spending $87 in total. Not a bad deal :D

My out of pocket cost was 102.99 after my certificates and tax (and of course, I'll have the Sprint $36 upgrade fee on my bill next month). I was completely excited to go pick this up and get out of there quick, only to find out when I got there that the systems (phones, computers, etc...) went down at the Best Buy near my work, so they couldn't even verify that my phone was ready to pick up. Oh well, it's not my primary device, so I wasn't too upset about it, but still a PITA. In addition to that, I'm getting two (2) $50 gift cards sent to me, which will be good if I decide to upgrade my primary line later this year. I was really just hoping to have the gift cards applied directly to my purchase, so it would've been no money out of pocket. Oh well. I'm definitely not complaining because I was anticipating paying this much anyway (for a $199 subsidized upgrade).
