Confirmed: Verizon Nexus One Cancelled

i think the incredible will be the nexus one - doesnt make sense that there will be two phones so similar released around the same time

Well, that's what a Verizon rep told me. But I don't believe him because he also told me it wouldn't be out until Christmas.

I wouldn't believe any of the sales reps. They are all on completely different pages and each one will tell you something different. Ya it will be out before christmas otherwise the phone will be way out of date. I am going to call verizon tomorrow and see if I can get any answers

Yep, ordered my Eris last night on BOGO because I got tired of waiting.

I figure if the reviews for the VZW N1 are positive, I'll sell the Eris on eBay and use that money towards the N1.

No official Google phone will have a custom UI. The incredible uses Sense UI.

While I'd like to see a bug-free screen, I don't think we'll see anything major like that or a trackpad. I bet it'll be something a little more trivial like a more powerful battery or a larger SD card with the shipment.

Yep, ordered my Eris last night on BOGO because I got tired of waiting.

I figure if the reviews for the VZW N1 are positive, I'll sell the Eris on eBay and use that money towards the N1.

You could probably use VZW's 30 day return thing whenever you want to get the Nexus One.

My BB Storm is about to die on me, but I'm still willing to wait an extra week for the N1.

What is "funny" is that I would be extremely happy if they just came out and said a date. No matter what the date would be, at least then it would be out there. The way things are right now, the first thing I do in the morning is check the forums, just in case.

Maybe google wants it this way, after all I know that I search and click on there site most of my day, which helps them generate more revenue.

If you're holding out for the iPhone on VZW, you'll be waiting longer than 3 months. Mass production isn't slated to start until September, setting the launch up for the all too profitable holiday season. In 3 months time, you will see a new iPhone, but it will be AT&T's new rendition.

Personally I think the Incredible will be the device to have. I love the Android OS...although the rumored iPhone 4.0 OS running on the VZW LTE network will support multi tasking between 3rd party applications.

Just some food for thought.

IMO, VZW will not use the "Incredible" as their Nexus One. I think it's Google's intention to push this phone to all major carriers. It specifically says it's to be available on VZW in the Spring on Google's website.

No I don't think it will have Sense UI either. Well if either of those were the only upgrades than that would be rather disappointing. You would think that before they release the phone on a new network they would fix a few things especially if it takes this long to release

I just recently called Verizon customer service and when I asked the rep about the nexus one she looked it up on her computer and after a little bit she put me on hold like she had to go ask someone about something. Then after a couple minutes of the great elevator music she came back and said she had no information about the release date. She said they don't find out any information until a few days in advanced. So still gonna be a few days according to her.
