Confirmed: Verizon Nexus One Cancelled

Oooh what if the surprise we're missing is that you'll be able to use the N1 as a mobile hotspot like the Pre/Pixie Plus!

(since he's going to have to wait till Christmas apparently for this phone - he might as well speculate wildly!)

that for me would be worth the wait and be a great surprise!!!
thank you for starting the day off with something positive and optimistic.

What if it is 4G and a mobile hotspot and has Flash 10.1 and version 2.2 of the OS!!!!!

and it'll dual boot to the iPhone OS!

j/k - I don't want it to dual boot to anything....I'd just be happy to replace my LG Dare (that I waited 6 months to be released) with the N1

alright Chuck, calm down. lets just worry about it getting released.....:)

I am tired of worrying about when it is getting released.....I still hope though everyday for that message on google.com/phone to say it is now available for the Verizon network.

yea, me too. I mean I still have a LG Chocolate, and I have been itching to jump to a smartphone, let alone Android OS. So even on days like today, that have no chance of it releasing, I still check and refresh it a couple times throughout the day when I am around my computer. Sooner than later it will release, so Chuck why don't we start calling days next week..... I'll take the popular day to release things, Tuesday, so April 6th it is!

chuck I hate to tell you this but, if sprint gets better coverage soon in my area, I am jumping on the evo train. This phone looks hot!

Hey Aquaj13, I am a VZW man and so I would not go with sprint but I understand....

I am a verizon man too, but speint is decent in my area, it is way cheaper, and I thought sprint roamed on verizon towers and vice versa.
I am still keeping the faith for nexus or incredible, I'm just saying that I am very tempted.

I doubt it. If there were any changes to the radio (world phone, 4G, etc.) it would have to go back through FCC.

just read this:

ozcarguide.com/technology/cellphone-pda/2576-verizon-palm-htc-incredible-nexus-one]Verizon Dumps Palm To Make Room For HTC Incredible & Nexus One

(sorry im not allowed to paste the whole url yet as im new here)

They say that the incredibles are in warehouse and that the Nexus 1 is on the way. they also suggest Verizon is dumping Palm. I don't know if that's all palms forever or if its just their inventory.

I have read that website before and I am not a fan at all. Many of their facts don't seem to be true and I feel like they write all on speculations and what they are thinking. They originally said nexus one was going to come up march 23 like for sure. They also said some other ridiculous things too.

I have heard good things about webOS but overall the palm phone has never pleased me. Plus they never advertised much for it. So i could see them dumping palm but I truthfully don't think they will because it is a rather new phone and it still a top of the line smart phone.

Yea, that website sucks for info. Never trust it.
I saw that today too that HTC Incredible near because the Palm prices were slashed.
But if you look at their site just yesterday morning, the same website posted news that the VZW N1 is on hold indefinitely because of the Apple/HTC lawsuit. WTF?
They totally contradict themselves one day to the next.

Just sit back and relax for May/June '09.. It's gonna be a looonnggg wait for either VZW phone :(
