last I heard they were just hearing arguments to see if the case has any merit. obviously this hasn't stopped Sprint or TMobile or even ATT from announcing new phones but I suspect VZ is being more cautious. They are known for being very risk averse and very careful in releasing new products. unfortunately that usually means we are the last to get the really cool phones.

Of course, since Verizon isn't selling the phone they don't have to worry about the trade implications. If there's a VZW holdup, its not due to the Apple suit.

Anyone hear anything if this week might be the week yet? I am so tired of waiting for a new week to begin and only to be disappointed. I am still hoping for tomorrow as I am getting a brand new Eris delivered tomorrow, since mine has been acting up lately after an accidental drop. Okay well here is my bet it comes out tomorrow.
Oh Chuck, how i wish you we are right about the Nexus 1 this week, The canoe I was floating in this weekend managed to tip a few times.... and my beloved LG Chocolate took a couple dips in the refreshing creek water, needless to say I could use a new phone. While I hate to downplay this week as a release, I have been reading posts reporting the VZWOffers twitter over the weekend, saying things like " good things come to those who wait" and "coming soon....". So if I had to look at it realistically, hate to say it, but its looking more and more like the later part of April will be the release.......
But Chuck, I am still would like to see the Nexus quietly release this week, then the Incredible later in April.....
I'm returning my Eris this afternoon as my 30 days is just about up. To tell you the truth I'm a bit disappointed that neither the N1 or the Incredible were released (or even mentioned) in the Mar 23 event. Now I'll be stuck on a broken BlackBerry until either one releases.
Unfortunately for Google and VZW, the N1 or Incredible release will no longer be an exciting event for me. I'll simply be reciting "about damn time," and dipping out of the mobile phone industry for another two years. No impulse accessory purchases for me. Just give me the damn phone!

We should all go to the Nexus One Phone - Web meets phone. site and sign up for the News alerts for the Nexus One + Verizon. They have to be doing some sort of tracking on demand and probably would be a good way of letting them know.

Having said that I still have plans to get the N1. It will be nice to have the option if the iPhone comes to Verizon.
I believe the reason for the lack of an Incredible forum is the phone doesn't officially exist yet.
Also, no iPhone announcement could stop me from getting an N1/Incredible. I don't like being locked into Apple's ecosystem, and think that I'll be treated better by Google rather than Apple.
how many times a day do you guys go to google.com/phone and become breathless while the page loads to see if the little news update has changed to say something about verizon?
I check Engadget multiple times a day, they would be the first to blog about the release and I go there anyway. One less site to check.

So, the DM for verizon jsut came into my store(Im an indirect agent). I started talking with him about different new devices that are coming out. He informed me that he just got a information about a new HTC device running android.
He went on to say that he gets these notices anywhere from a a day to 2 weeks in advance of the release. He didnt have the model "name", but was going to email the model number later. I will post it when I get it to see what it might be, with your help.

Hopefully both will be released tomorrow. That way I can go to the VZW store, check out the Incredible, and confirm that I still want the N1.
