1. can i use it connect a regular pc keyboard to nexus 7?
if so, will it cost extra batter power to use the regular size keyboard?


2. if i buy a micro usb wired keyboard, will that consume lots of battery power to operate it?

It may work as I know it will with a mouse. But you might consider a Bluetooth keyboard. I have one of these and it works great and is ultra-lightweight:

I would recommend going for a bluetooth tablet unless you've got a specific purpose or really favorite keyboard you're wanting to use. The less you use the microUSB port, the less likely you are to damage it, and it's always nice to have fewer wires.
