Considering switching to T-Mobile

The Moto X has the 700mhz band for T-mobile registered with the FCC already plus several others.

700MHz consists of b12,13,and 17. TMobile will use b12.

TMobile moto x supports b17,not b12.

So while it does support 700MHz lte , it doesn't support tmobile 700MHz lte.

Ahh sorry I thought band 4 and 17 were in use under the Verizon deal thanks for the correction.

No problem. The Verizon deal only gives tmobile 700MHz A-Block. This is only compatible with b12.

I'm in NYC and had been on sprint for years. I loved their prices and unlimited policy. I made the switch to T-Mobile. I have had much better speeds than on sprint. I used 134GB last month and have yet to be throttled.

134GB.. Da Fuk? LOL
wow makes my normal 6 GB and my coworkers 18GB seem like nothing.
Let hope you get throttled soon. I for one dont feel like giving up my unlimited because of the 1 or 2 or 5 percenters who "take advantage" of the unlimited features.
just my opinion..

How am I taking advantage? I pay for unlimited on 4 lines. My wife barely uses 3gb monthly. I just so happen to use more.

Because you are ignoring the "Fair Use Policy" within your unlimited contract.

He isn't. They say they can slow him down or cut him off if they deem it unfair.. And they obviously aren't.. Since they aren't contacting him..

Fair Use Policy is a FCC regulation required of all unlimited contracts within the United States to abide by but are not required to have it in print to the end-user. It is a protection allotted to mobile ISPs in case they have to act upon excessive use.

But this is similar to getting cutoff on the highway. Jerks will be jerks.

Guys can we forget about my usage and get back to the topic at hand?

Again not really. If they don't take action on it they don't see as unfair... If they thought so.. They'd act on it.

Thanks for a pointless point that still doesn't change my original post. But I guess you can continue to try and take this to other subject matter all you want I am still right.

You and your ilk are the problem in this world. I enjoy being part of the great good that cares about my fellow man and not live life just to exploit where ever I can.

Thats why i didnt say anything after his last comment.
I have no problem with people who use lots of data as long as its on their phone and not modified tethering.
IF he is consuming all that data on the device its self then thats his unlimited data to use.
I my self refrain from heavy usage like that because i have wifi at home and work.
Now if im at lunch, like yesterday i was watching sports center on my device for about an hour. :)

I think were getting off topic.. ill take some blame for that as im the one who asked the question as to why so much data.. sorry..

Thank God I came across this thread. I've been with Sprint since 2010 when I left T-Mobile. I'm really considering switching back since my wife and I are having big data and voice problems at our house and her at her workplace. 90% of the time we can't communicate at all...neither text, voice or hangouts.

I drive 8 hours a day in Miami Florida so I know every dead spot, good spot, and great spot that Sprint has for their service and anything in between.

I'm skeptical about leaving and whats held me back is all this new promise of "Spark and Tri-band" and what we pay for our 5 line family plan which is $255-60. I have a Nexus 5 with Spark enabled and have only obtained Spark in one place. Supposedly Spark is "available" all over Miami....obviously its not.

With T-Mobile same 5 lines will cost us $265-70. What should I do?
Does Sprint's future look brighter than T-Mobile's with all this new spectrum Sprint obtained? Setting aside the rumors of a possible buy of T-Mobile by Sprint.

Thanks for any input.

switch to tmobile.

now that tmobile has that 700 mhz spectrum from verizon, you'll be fine.

sprint still utilizes 5 x 5 mhz spectrum whereas tmobile has already started launching 20 x 20 mhz spectrum

What's the difference? Will Sprint launch 20x20?

Doubtful, the only recent launch was the magical "spark" they were taking about, but even in my neck of the woods, i had horrible speeds with sprint spark. Yet, with tmobile's throttled speeds were often more reliable than sprint's lte network

I'm not saying sprint won't make a comeback, that might be next year or in 5 years, but the last few years with Sprint has been god awful with a decaying network in the voice network part as well. Coupled with increasingly bill costs, they lost me as a customer. I never thought it was to possible to degrade a network so bad but Sprint did it.

Tmobile hasn't matched Verizon's network where I stay, there are random spots where there's LTE but then 2G/edge, but the lower monthly bill and the internal data roaming/texting incentives make up for that until Tmobile can refarm their 2G/Edge network to LTE which is supposed to happen by mid next year.

Tmobile has a lot of work, but they've beefed up their network a lot faster than whatever crap Sprint has done to theirs. Their "network vision" "spark" "framily plan" is just a lie after lie.

Tmobile only acquired 700MHz spectrum from Verizon in about a dozen States. Also tmobile 700MHz is 5x5. And even within the states which tmobile bought 700 mhz spectrum, there are currently exclusions in place that do not allow their deployment at the moment though that would probably change once 600mhz auction has taken place.
