Constant "power supply" notification banner

I have an LG K31 and lately there has been a "Power Supply" notification living in my pull down menu. I can't get rid of it. It's asking me to select usb options but there's only one option which is to charge the phone. It also will not charge while turned on, I have to completely power it off first.

Yeah it's just not there. I have it alphabetically and there are only two things under "U"- update center, and user directory. Checked the whole list just in case but nothing relatively close to that

Maybe its worded differently on the list

This is almost everything in my apps, including system apps. As much as it would allow me to attach.

You've already tried different charging cables and plugs, right?

Just curious, did you check the port for debris, try to blow it out or anything? I noticed that you said, "I thought it may have been debris in the charge port, but considering it still charges when off that can't be the case.", I would still check if you haven't just to be sure.

Went in gently with a tooth pick and got out some fluff but that didn't do anything. Also tried blowing on it and compressed air

I've tried two different cables and two different plugs, both of witch work fine with my old phones.

Update- the notification randomly disappeared but there is still and arrow where it shows the battery and it still won't charge powered on.

There are quite a few other similar threads in this forum and others (like Reddit) mentioning the same thing on LG phones. Could the port have gotten wet at some point?

A couple of months ago it got damp in the rain but I haven't had problems until a few days ago

It's possible some corrosion developed over that time period.
