Contact display issue on the droid maxx

Ok this is getting VERY annoying! It keeps displaing ALL CONTACTS . I dont want hundreds of email adddresses everytime i go into my contacts. this is what im doing,, i go to contacts, settings, contacts to display, click on my proper account, and it displays it properly, UNTIL I HIT HOME or leave the page, THEN IT DEFAULTS BACK TO ALL!!! It just started doing this and is VERY annoying, what can i do to "lock it back" to just my gmail account?
