Yeahp mine is still there and I have no plans to remove it.

there is definitely one on in this video. Mines coming off later. Cant seem to get it with my fingernail but im being super careful.

Mine has it too. I think rather than the "protective film" to prevent scratches during shipping, this is a more permanent solution that was added later in the design to prevent damage to the glass. You can clearly see the cutouts for the lenses, lasers and flash in the picture of my V20. Also, picture quality of the photos I have been taking is very good. No distortion.
