Coverage question

So my friend has the play edition one with the same 30$ pre paid plan. We were standing right next to each when I realized he is pulling LTE and I only ever get hspa. Is there something I can do to get LTE. I have the optimus g so I know it is a lte enabled. Phone. Any thought on why he is getting it and im not.

Do you have LTE enabled on your phone? I think it's under Settings > Connections > Networks > Mobile Networks and set it to connect to LTE. At least that's how it works on my S4....

Play edition what? You don't have the same phones (There is no play edition Optimus G) Could be the radios.....

The play edition HTC one. And other people say they can get LTE on there optimus g on t mobile
