sweetI must've been sleeping the day they covered Factory Resets in the rooting class - I don't remember anything about having to re-root the phone after performing a Factory Reset. Guess I'll have to stop sitting in the back...

Please define what you mean by wipe everything but not mess up any files? A factory reset will wipe all apps, user data and settings you've made. This restores the phone to what it was when you took it out of the box. You will have to re-root after doing that.
