I know you can change the app icons using LauncherPro, but I like the (stock?) launcher that I found way back in SC292. I've flashed it over every ROM I've booted.
My question is this: Would it be possible to replace the app icons without using LP? I'm running UKB2.0 with Erebos 1.3 theme. I love the simple black/white/gray if it all; it looks very, very clean. I didn't care for the Erebos MMS layout, so I patched using the one from CR1.3 and since I use Hotmail, rather than Gmail, I have to used the basic Email app.
Between my MMS icon and the Email icon, my home page just doesn't look right (picture attached).
Is there a way I can copy those two icons (or more!) off of my phone, edit them (Photoshop?) and then overwrite them so I can the desired look? I like the MMS icon from Nitro Dark Honeycomb, but don't want the whole theme.
Is this a relatively simple thing, or should I try and subcontract this project to one of the devs?
