Cyanogen 7 ROM questions

I want to try the Cyanogen 7 as my first custom ROM but I have a few questions, please forgive my ignorance:

1) What is the difference between CM 6.1 and CM 7?
2) What are the "nightly builds" for CM 7?
3) Where do can I find CM 7 for download?
4) Any other suggestions for ROMs, I am currently running LauncherPro so I don't require Sense anymore.

The big difference between the two is that cm6 is running Froyo and cm7 is running Gingerbread. Cm7 has nighlty builds that you can update to almost every night. You can find download links here..

You know I thought about going with MIUI but I'm not really an iPhone fan so I don't really want my DInc looking like one. However I have heard good things about it.

i use it with launcher pro. and that takes away the iphone feel of it

Haven't used MIUI in a while. Looks to be quite a bit slicker then the last time I tried it. I am just so addicted to Gingerbread I don't know if I could back to anything Froyo based

The screen off animation is enough to keep me around. Check out the CM7 nightlies thread and see what we're all saying! Or just flash the ROM and see what happens! i have been using the nightlies as a daily driver for over a month now with no issues.
