Cyanogen is playing tonight! :)

Battery life seems pretty good for me. Are you using it a lot and it's running it down or is it draining without use?

My notification bar only goes away when I swipe up because it is the option defaulted by the ADW Launcher for an up swipe. You can change that by Settings>ADWLauncher>System Preferences>Swipe up actions.

Was wondering about that! score

I don't have Titanium but I do have Uninstaller. It wasn't available for deletion in there, so I'll try gettin' Titanium and seein' if I can get rid of it that way!

Yeah, that was definitely a bad idea! I will advise everyone DO NOT uninstall ADW Launcher. It seems that is the only launcher Cyanogen included in this build. I had to reload the ROM.

HAHA, well on that note, if you were to install a different launcher, and wanted to uninstall ADW, it can be done XD.

PS you shouldn't need to reload the rom. You can just reload the apk from your pc using adb or Droid explorer.

Eh, I don't know my adb's that well, it's just as well I reload it. I hadn't done much to it before that anyway! No troubles for me haha!

By the way, I got Handcent 3.1. I thought I saw you had 3.0. The newest I think is 3.2 but I wasn't sure if it was working for you or if you wanted a newer version?

It was draining without use. I am going to try it again, I could have had a bad flash. Also I will check that notification bar setting when I do. Thanks!

I installed Launcher Pro, I downloaded the apk transferred to the phone via USB and installed with Astro and use it on as my default home launcher

So are we gonna get nightlys every night? Or was it a rare event that we got two in a row?

CyanogenMod uses Github, which is a social coding service. The way it works is anyone he (or his team) authorizes can edit the code throughout the day. At a given time (around 8:30pm EST for our ROM) the Github server automagically compiles the code into what we know as the nightly- hence the name. Last night someone must have forced a second [of the night] build, probably after they realized they forgot the eri.xml file, to fix the roaming bug.

So yes, you can expect a new nightly build every night around 8:45pm EST, but I wouldn't expect more than one every night- that was a fluke.

Technology!

It is kind of easy to flash the nightly, if you are using titanium backup and adw backups.

Does anybody have the SwiftKey Beta apk? I am not able to find it on the market.

Yes, flashing the nightlys is very easy, just flash the most recent nightly (make sure you wipe first!) and restore your adw settings and apps through titanium. Then when the newest nightly comes out just flash it over top of the last one, no wipe should be needed (at least until the RC or gold version comes out). All your apps and ADW settings should stick.

As far as Swiftkey goes- posting .apks is frowned upon here- and you might get the banhammer for doing it (even if the app is free :/). I'd look around on the XDA forums for things like that.

Can you restore single apps with the Titanium backup? I don't use it too much so I don't know much about it.

Yes you can! When you open it press the second tab ("Backup/restore") which will list all the apps you have either backed up or installed, find the app you want to restore and tap on it then select "restore" from the context menu that pops up! Or you can do it through the "batch" menu by pressing the menu button (on the Evo), select "batch," then tap "restore missing apps +data," then "deselect all," place a check mark next to the one you want to restore, then tap "Run the batch operation."

Sweet! Now my questions deals with the Market that came on Cyanogen's ROM. Does anyone have a different version of Market? I have 1.82. I think that deals with the fact that I'm missing some apps from there such as Handcent and Ringo Lite.

battery

I have been using the first nightly for a day now and I'm on my 12th hour without a recharge and my battery is still at 71%!!!

I would rate the use as moderate, however the same use with rvu2.1 rom would maybe last 7 hours.

If you download cyans build from ROM manager, it allows you to download the google apps too. Should fix all of your issues in that area.
