Hey all,

I'm pretty new to this whole rooting and putting on ROMs thing, so I wanted to double check something.

I am running Cyanogen mod 10.2 right now and if I go into settings -> about tablet, it says I can update to nightly builds. If I do this, will it install just like an OTA update or would updating be the same as flashing a new ROM and I would lose everything? Thanks for the help in advance!

The update won't erase your data, but I would still create a backup from recovery just in case. Would be best to update to stable version.

Nightlies will have more bugs in them. They are the least stable of any version. FYI.

Are there any stable ROMS out for the Note 10.1 (2012) that are running 4.4? I know CM 11 isn't on the note 10.1. And thanks for the response!

Thanks. Because they are ported/unofficial, I would use some caution. Not that they will damage your device, but they may not be updated on a timely basis, if at all.

You will need to download the stock ROM for your device (carrier specific). Then download Odin and flash the ROM using Odin while your phone is in download mode (press power, volume and home at same time).
