ETA: Did anyone else have VZW tell you not to do the *228 roaming update? I was told it would do something to the SIM card.
For the record I am experiencing an issue with connection. I have my Droid X and Thunderbolt side-by-side and Droid X has a 3G connection, Thunderbolt has a 1X connection, and according to Verizon coverage maps I'm in a full blow 4G area. I haven't seen 4G come up at all on the phone.

Ditto. I am in NYC.
There was no *228, the sim card automatically updated.
I am on the phone with CS about this, they are filling out a trouble ticket for me.
Thanks...I'm on a conference call so can't call til 11:00. I hope this isn't a hardware (phone) issue...then again, I also hope it isn't a region issue.
What are they suggesting, if anything? Have they tried to have you reprogram the phone? I was buying mine at the same time another lady was getting hers and hers programmed in half the time it took mine (started at the same time).
Interesting...if you remove the SIM card you get no data at all. I thought 3G was a radio and 4G was the SIM....
Nope, havent tried to reprogram yet... did a battery pull also. I dont get why I dont have at least 3G
true data is 4G only. However it all is run via the Sim now witht these phones.
About the *228. Mine wouldn't get put into system correctly and 4G running until they did *228 several times to get the PRL to update. Once the PRL updated, mine worked perfect.
Interesting that it is stated to not do that...
I CAN'T do *228...it dumps it without connecting.
Battery battery battery.
battery pull???????????
noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is why I left blackberry!!!!
I have some concerns out of the gate with the reception on this phone...can we have a sticky with issues/concerns?
