My favorite announcement from a previous Google I/O is Google Glass. If it wasn't for Glass I would not be an Explorer and writing Glass content on GoogleGlassFans.com.

Google Glass is hard to beat - especially for those in the audience! Apart from that, I'll have to go with Android@Home - although it has yet to make its presence known outside of I/O.

Each I/O announcement was amazing! But for shure the best one from my point of view was about Glass since it changed our realty in many ways...

I loved the session on and semi-secret announcement of Google ADK at I/O 2011. The first and second gen boards were awesome and the team behind was crazy passionate, loved every minute of it.

My favorite announcement was from last year when they announced the location based additions the Google Play Services along with activity aware. Cool stuff that was fun to implement.

Most personally useful... Google Play Music but the Android Graphics Performance session are always the most interesting.

Google glass was the amazing but at the sametime Android is what I'm really into. So I have to go with Android Studio!

The one I liked the most was Google Plus. There were a lot of naysayers, and still are, but Google+ brought a refreshing take on a social stream, Circles was a beautiful interaction at the time, and its focus on Photos won me over. Though I always saw it for what I think it is, a new unified approach to a Google Identity, one that began to unify all its products. I for one don't mind it, but I know I speak as a fanboy. Still a G+ fan, and use it regularly.

Google Glass was an absolutely mind blowing announcement. Of course, I saw the "One Day..." video before it was shown in person, but it was hard to understand exactly how it worked until they demonstrated it at I/O. Now that I own a pair, I'd love to further my current development for Glass with the aid of new Google APIs... Didn't get picked for I/O in the regular selection stage or through the hidden easter eggs after days of snooping.. A chance to go to I/O this year would be awesome!

My favorite announcement was Google Glass. I still feel that this is an excellent piece of wearable tech and find it silly that so many people seem to be against it with their "Glasshole" movement. It's a good piece of tech and will allow several professions to be more productive (such as doctors, etc)

Good luck to all and, either way, I will be attending the Dev conference virtually or physically :)

My favorite moment from google i/o was the google play devices because i actually prefer them over the regular versions they are easily hacked like the nexus devices

My favorite announcement from previous Google I/O's was probably the Nexus 7. It was the first real usable tablet with a great form factor and affordable price. Though I got one for free that year, I immediately bought one for the wife as well and she still uses it daily.

Was Google Glass for me - now having scored a pair, I'm intrigued and have started android developing as a result. I love Google!

I was very happy with the Google Play Music All Access, the announcement of Android Studio and the Google Play for Education. But Glass was the biggest.

My favorite was a particular talk about Volley. I don't know if that was technically "the announcement" of the technology - but it was the first time I heard of it and immediately dug into it.

Definitely Android 4.1 Jellybean announced at the 2012 Google I/O. I especially liked Google Now with the voice actions overhaul. I was so excited to test that out as soon as I saw it! Can't wait to see what is in store this year!

My favorite moment was the announcement of the Q. Too bad it didn't do what it could have done... I would still take one.

I don't like it when the companies get up on stage and take shots at the competition, but I have to admit that when I saw this it made me laugh.

But since this isn't an announcement I will say Google Play Services. Unlocking software and api updates from OS updates was HUGE.
