Daydream VR Promo from Verizon?

I just received an email from Verizon saying that my Daydream headset was shipped and should arrive in 5-7 days! The rebate status now says: "Valid: Reward mailed" "Time to check your mailbox. Your reward has been mailed and is on it's way. Please allow approximately 10 days to receive." The carrier is not specified and there's no tracking number.

where are you seeing that?

I just got an email saying it mailed. It's very ambiguous with no tracking #... It almost sounds like they are sending me a voucher, not an actual unit.

I got that same email that it was mailed but they didn't send a tracking so if you go to the rebate site and contact them through chat and ask them for the shipping Tracking number they will get it for you I just did it and they was super fast

I guess from the other thread the Fi and google store peeps are getting rebates they use to order a headset. So they are now waiting as well but seems this process may have moved faster thru version. I also wonder now if the best buy peeps got the $100 instantly or if they are all in some form of waiting as well.

This whole process has been odd. I can't put specifics to it but there have been many notifications, and changes to what was posted. things seemed to go forward but then back, get clearer only to become less so.

As far as I can see it this is my course of events that very solid:
pre-ordered on 10-11-2016 from verizon
received on 10-19 and placed promo order.
it then showed approved a few days later
on nov 1 I got an email saying I was now valid with a shipped in 14 days.
on nov 17 i got another email saying it was shipped on " <--custom_value1--> and should arrive within 5-7 days" with no tracking.


So I am hoping the shipped in 14 days means usps on or near the 14th and it should be at my door today or tomorrow, but we will have to wait for arrival.

The parts I left out were the stuff I saw when looking it up. That stuff seemed to change terms, like mailed or preparing for mail. it also listed 11-16-2016 as the shipped date, but that would make them BIG FAT LIARS if I believe the 14 days.

well on verizon, you need your receipt before you can submit and we are getting the actual device. Best Buy gave you $100 and I am not sure if that was instant or a gc to be handled later. The direct from google peeps (Fi or google store) they all get rebates that then get used to purchase one but with a delayed eta.

So I would say in all cases you actually need the phone to submit.

You need the Receipt which is shipped with the phone and you need the IMEI number off the phone which obviously you won't know till you get the phone. Also you need to take a picture of the label on the side of the box that has the IMEI number... a scan of the receipt and the picture of the label both need to be uploaded with the rebate.

I bought one from verizon (still didng arrive) and one from project fi. So when would I get to submit the rebate?

Or this only for orders on certain time frame?
