Someone please tell me why the kernel is only 005? and not 007?

Not completely sure, but I'd guess because 005 was the final stable kernel for V6-V9 Baseband, and probably roughly coincided with the release of this ROM.

So, this isn't compatible with VC yet? I've been doing a lot of reading and I'm getting mixed input. I know there is a version coming that you'll have to be on VC. Should I just wait for that?
Thanks! I appreciate what y'all have done for my phone!

The current iteration of LEGO is built on v9. Xonia 005 is the last kernel zefie made that supported v9. Version 006, 007, and 008 (most current) won't run on V9 devices.

change log for xonia kernel (first line (bold) under 005 release notes)

Running nROM....sw-v9. baseband mvc. kernal says xonia-007...... runs fine. Batt life isn't as good as I had hoped.....???

You may be confusing basebands with source the ROM is built from. If your running nrom 5.1 or 5.2 your running a ROM built from VC (despite your baseband) which 007 is compatible with.

First of all, I love this rom. I love the modular approach.
I just noticed I cannot choose my input keyboard. I am not a fan of Swype, but I don't see the option to pick a different keyboard.

Does anyone know how I can choose the keyboard?

Trust me ... i know .... things (the dev community and ROM/phone fragmentation) are kind of a mess right now. Sprint and LG did nobody a favor with their little radio games in this release.

LEGO-ROM-v2 is now posted for download on first post. :p

Sorry for the delay and getting LEGO upto date, Thanks to ksmith and nick for all their hardwork and effort:D

thanks for LegoROM v2, but must i be on VC to flash legorom v2 because from all the posts, people are saying that they are having a lot of problems with VC.

If thats the case I'll stick with LegoROM v1 on V9

I enabled the deluxe build-prop and legoROM and it significantly slowed down my data speeds. Back to nROM for me

Yes VC baseband is required and I'm not sure about the a lot of problems thing. Some people have an issue with cold booting their phone but thats not everybody (i don't have that issue along with many others) and AFAIK it only impacts cold boots, not warm boots. Thats the only issue I've seen people have on rooted VC.

When you go to the input box to type, long-press on the box and a pop-up will show up. Tap on "Input method" and it'll allow you to choose which keyboard you want to use.

I have nROM again, and my speeds are fast again

Well there is a difference in the fact that LEGO-ROM was running older software and nROM was updated to the newer software. I bet if you install LEGO-ROM-v2 you'll have the same speeds as long as you have the same set up.
