That last line almost seems like you don't have root...

This is what I see:

Code:
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
tmpfs 217276 12 217264 0% /dev
/dev/block/mtdblock1 127104 77460 49644 61% /cache
/dev/block/mtdblock5 162304 119104 43200 73% /system
/dev/block/mtdblock6 168832 104172 64660 62% /data
/dev/block/mtdblock8 1536 1156 380 75% /persist
tmpfs 217276 0 217276 0% /mnt/asec
/dev/block/vold/179:1
                      15553280 5855904 9697376 38% /mnt/sdcard
/dev/block/vold/179:1
                      15553280 5855904 9697376 38% /mnt/secure/asec

Yours worked perfectly scifin. And it looks like you don't have root because you didn't type su.

Well made backups of as much as I could did a factory wipe n went feom there. Finally runnin on 1.3.2 with zefies kernel n buildprop dulx. Alot faster now. Wish I had quick shoot last night for the awsomw quadrant score I had. Oc'd at 864 runnin fine.

if you enable stagefright, your quadrant score will be super high because it wont play a test video and instantly give you the max score for that test.

Yep, dalvik-cache is still in data. If you are using my ROM/boot.img, a dalvik-cache wipe should successfully move it no matter what.

I tried my best to re-create these issues that you guys have been encountering to no avail. If you follow my directions on the OP their should not be any problems. If you guys want to Skype me I can walk you through it, just PM me.

Got it to work!

OK... this is what I did, not sure why I had to, but this worked for me.

I flashed your patch from here:

http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-optimus-s-roms-hacks/52763-mod-move-dalvik-cache-cache.html

Rebooted, wiped dalvik-cache, rebooted - still no luck

Re-flashed 1.3.2 signed update of yours - rebooted, wiped dalvik-cache, reboot, and still no luck.

I went in with Root Explorer into \data and manually deleted the dalvik-cache folder.

Rebooted into recovery, did a wipe dalvik-cache, then rebooted normally.

Worked! Have over 75MB free in data now - thanks!

No idea why it was glitchy as I've been running the stock sprint rom until I flashed yours on here.

160mb after you clear out dalvik cache.

Thanks

I am trying/wanting to get custom mtd partitions like we had on the Hero. On ThundeRom it puts apps to sd by default right? It looked that way when doing
the busybox df -h, 2 system partitions. One thing that I am not understanding is the cache size being so large. I am scared to flash the custom recovery and boot that creates the partitions as I have no clue if we have flashboot or not yet. I think I will have better luck with nRom because of the way ThundeRom sets app on the sd.

Does nROM use the native apps2sd?

Thanks

EDIT.... Doesnt look like we can use fastboot :(

nROM doesn't have a 3rd party apps2sd option, just native froyo a2sd.

I already looked into repartitioning our ROM and decided it was not worth the trouble. I didn't even need dalvik-cache to cache; I just added it per request. If you need more than 160mb of app space then you need to reconsider your lifestyle lol.

LOL, right now I am using about 110 mb, however not all apps are used on a regular basis. I guess its just knowing I have the space, IDK. I think out of 300 mb I had on Hero I used maybe 150. I really dont like my apps on sd card, unless I choose to put it there. Plus the more things we can get going over here the more people we will attract, more users means more dev's :D

Thanks for the info!

I successfully moved /data/data to cache lol.. Extra ~10mb of app space depending on how many applications you have installed. I don't even need this space.. I have like 150mb free with all my applications installed.

I do appreciate having Dalvik-cache moved... if it wasn't, my phone would be basically full up at this point... ;)

Well that's good news. If you fill it up again I'll show you how to move application data to cache.

Just Wanted to Say AWSOME mod... I like the Interface and the amount of customization in the desktops and dock especially .. threw the stagefrightonly buildprob on top and OC at 806 to get a 1403 in quadrant....

Great, glad it worked out for you.

I just installed this ROM per the OP's instructions and it seems everything works with the exception that the "Bluetooth Voice Dialer" freezes and just says "Starting up." when the voice button is long pressed. Any thoughts?

What is a bluetooth voice dialer? I know of the voice dialer but I didn't know it used bluetooth. I messed with a bunch of bluetooth settings in the boot.img so that's probably why.

It's the one that pops up where you long press the "voice dial" button on the side.

The button on the side is mapped to "call." :o I didn't know that it had something assigned to long press. Long press search on the bottom right for voice to text.
