nROM_V1.5.2_VC.zip.
That's what I downloaded and installed.
Nick, looking through the log it seems to be when trying to pair with the device. Could it be because of the auto-pairing that devices try and use with generic codes such as "0000" and "1234"? This device's pairing code is "1234", so it still seems a little odd. It looks like it pairs on line 89 of the "BluetoothFC.txt". Then immediately gets disconnected on line 92. Just speculating though, I have no idea what half of this stuff means.![]()
I'm really diggin' nROM (tried 1.5.2 for the hell of it), but I did have one question. Is there a chance that the VC video drivers, since 1.5.2 was compiled from VC, somehow sneaked into the ROM itself?
I'm running V9, but I've noticed a change in display brightness/contrast that's very similar to what I saw during the short time I was on VC. I feel the display looks very different than what I've seen on V9 and ThundeROM 1.6.2.
you're amazing!i think i'll have a test build for you bluetooth users up tomorrow.
If LG updated their video drivers then yes, it would be in v1.5.2. What differences are you noticing?
There are clear differences in the amount of shadow detail displayed between V8/V9 and VC. If you've ever calibrated an HDTV, and you were looking for a difference in contrast, you'd see what I'm talking about.
For instance, I'm not entirely sure of this since I'm back on ThundeROM right now, but I think I remember possibly not being able to see the top of the red "no" circle in the AdFree icon on VC. it's a faded red/pink at the top, and the VC drivers drive up the white so much that it cuts it off where it should only be faded. There's also a similar effect with the hearts in the Angry Birds Seasons background during startup. Difficult to see their outlines all the way around.
Really not a big deal to most, but just something that bothers me a little. I was going to take some screens with ShootMe, but I realized they would actually turn out looking exactly the same side-by-side on a computer screen.
I concur with this. I use a custom boot image and the amount of shading lost was very obvious when I was on VC.
Thanks O.a.T., at least I know it's not just me.
It was mentioned at the beginning of the original maintenance update thread that the video drivers had been altered by VC. I just wonder what spurred them to change something that wasn't really a problem with V8/V9 (for the worse in my opinion).
ok i would like to install nrom, i am currently on thunderom. i am rooted and have custom recovery, but whenever i flash this rom, it gets to the lg logo. then i get a black screen. help? im on LS670ZVC and it is a vc baseband
I'll look into scrapping the video drivers but I haven't noticed anything :O
It's really no big deal. Most people won't notice it, and I actually don't know if/how it might affect new Optimus S's if they've got different display hardware.
It's probably something I'll have to learn to live with, but I'm staying on V9 with V9 based ROMs for now until I really feel the need to change.
Thanks for all the work you do on nROM and Lego ROM though. Really impressive stuff!
