Nick7, I like what ur doing here. I commend u on ur efforts. I recently installed the fancywidget and stated to notice a difference in my phone. I went to uninstall it from my list of installed apps and wasn't given the option. While I was there I noticed a couple other "hidden" apps that were installed that I don't remember giving permissions to. It was a hidden menu app and a settings for lg app that were not there before. those apps had access to much more than I feel comfortable giving to a hidden app. My question is: how do I remove the fancywidget and these hidden apps from my phone now? And, is there any reason these apps need this much access to my personal info, text messages, full access to everything? This is a bit concerning..... Thanks and good work once again!

Granted im not running Nrom but the manage applications menu does?t have an installed apps tab, it has downloaded and all. As fancy wasn't downloaded it was installed via apk or with the rom it will be under the all tab, please see attached pics.

EDIT: didn't even know text replace happened when i was writing that, guess i need to fix that.

Under the all tab it's listed but there is no option to uninstall. I added this on to another rom. I successfully removed it with titanium backup. Thank god for that

The hidden menu app is Nicks app I believe. See his changelog in the first post of this thread. As far as the lg app goes, he may have just moved it, not sure on that one.

The application named "LGHiddenMenu" is a keylogging program that collects bank account information, telephone numbers, transaction history, and personal accounts. I designed it with world domination in mind.

NAH JUST KIDDING. It gives you access to LG's hidden menu which requires all sorts of access for testing. That's why this application requires all that access. It is used to gain access to their force roaming menu.

If you really want to uninstall it that bad, open up ES file explorer provided with nROM, enable root mode, navigate to /system/app/ and remove "LGHiddenMenu.apk"

^This is what it does^

There is no way that this application would slow down your phone. Think of it as like a shortcut you would put on your desktop.

So there nick, im having some problems with my phone.. I dont know if its from TR 1.5 or not.. but i would like to give your rom a try.. see if it corrects a few programs not working and gets my gps lined out.. would i just do a nand restore.. then just flash your new rom instead of TR? Then reinstall my Xen kernals? Thanks buddy.. also do you update frequently or if your rom caused a problem.. be willing to help get it solved?! Thanks!

To install:
-back up apps.
-boot to recovery.
-factory reset.
-flash nROM (it includes Xionia kernel).
-boot up, restore apps.

I respond to bug reports within a day.

Good luck!

Cool thanks.. I'm having trouble downloading this ROM.. I keep clicking on Nrom.. it takes me to media fire.. but it wont download.. any other way to get me this ROM? Maybe someone can email it to me or pm to me?

nick nice rom, only thing is there's much less internal memory left after flashing than thunderom. hopefuly you can free up some of this memory in future builds. I'm left with 25mb vs 75mb on thunderom after i load my apps and not all apps can be sent to sd. also after flashing it shows v1.1 under phone info when the file says v1.2

Yeah I forgot to change the version number. And I'll try to clear up some internal memory in my next update.

I love your rom it is stable fast and reliable and it doesn't have those crazy animations.that thunderom has. Yhr only thing I've noticed that only swype I hat swype so if you can add default android would be great and do you take donations

+1. Liked your ROM also, but only used for a day because of the lack of internal memory left after flashing. Believe it was even worse than the original stock ROM.

Bsanto: I'll add a keyboard. What do you like, froyo or gingerbread? And I'll post my pay pal in my sig ;)

O. a. T: wow I didn't realize that people really needed that internal storage lol I've never filled up mine. I'll definitely clear up space in 1.3!

Yeah I have just kind of stuffed that in the bottom of my napsack of things to do :( After I release v1.3 though I'll take a whack at it.

I use tango, but I'm on thunderROM. a little cumbersome because I have to face the camera when speaking. a working ffc mod would be :awesome: on the optimus but is not a necessity for video calls.
