Try this.

1. Copy boot.img to the root of your SD card.
2. From adb shell
Code:
mount /sdcard
flash_image boot /sdcard/boot.img
rm -rf /cache/dalvik-cache
rm -rf /data/dalvik-cache
3. Reboot. It will take a while on the "ANDROID" screen for dalvik-cache to rebuild.

ok tried as suggested. first rm -rf /cache/dalvik-cache gave me a read only error so i mounted everything rw, then again and got no such file or directory.

i renamed my dalvik-cache folder in /data to see if it will rebuild it for me in cache now so i rebooted. boot was quick and after deleting the dalvik-cachebkp that i renamed, i am left with 60mb in data now. if i open /data/dalvik-cache it says i have 78mb avail, going into cache folder i have 78mb avail and i can see the dalvik-cache folder in cache now. looks like it worked, and this was on my stock system! woot! i'll have to wait until later tonight to try it on your rom but i suspect i'll get the same results.

is it ok with you if i post your boot.img in my dalvik-cache thread so others that want to move it can somewhat easily now?

3. *DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING* Flash nROM v1.3 *DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING.*
4. Reboot.

Nick, why wouldnt you wipe??? Most recommend to wipe before flashing, unless coming from a previous rom from the same maker. IE, if I have TR right now, and go to yours, I would want to wipe. Why do you say not too?

It causes problems during flashing. And why would you want to wipe? Installing apps and resetting everything the way you like it is a pita lol. Anyways my update script wipes everything but data.

IMO, I have found it best to wipe and remove all traces of any previous roms. I just installed it without whiping and got nothing but low on space errors. Im trying it now with a full wipe. We will see what happens. I had no such issues with TR, so i know that my phone space isnt low.

I'm really confused as to why the dalvik-cache to cache mod isn't sticking after flashing. Try wiping dalvik-cache and then adb shell rm -rf /cache/dalvik-cache. Reboot and you should have your extra memory.

Just wanted to give my 2 cents on the dc-c update script. I have tried it several times over the last couple of days but could never get to stick. It. would show that the size of storage increased to 165 mb but I was only showing 45-50 mb free. Once I went into custom recovery and did a wipe of dalvik-cache and rebooted. It worked. I now show 121 mb free of 165 mb. This may work for others. Thx for this mod.

Thx. I'm and ex Moment user and hung out at SDX quite a bit. Now that I have the Optimus I tend to check this forum more often. Again, thx for great developing on your part.

Ya I think I mentioned I manually deleted my dc. Maybe you should add that you need to clear it after flashing the update.zip.
