Just tried it. Star turns green but when I back out of contact, it doesn't stay that way in the favorites like it has in previous builds/ROMs. That being said, I don't have my contacts syncing to Google since it seems to destroy the structure for when I re-sync with my Outlook/Thunderbird and I lose data fields. I've never had that enabled though in the past and it's worked. Tried a reboot. Maybe I'll try to flush cache or something, perhaps I'm only one having this issue. Easy enough to work around if no one else having the issue.

It's for sure working for me I'm not sure what is going wrong there. I'll try to look into it though.

You would use VC, as there isn't much of a different (that we know yet) of VC and VD. VC version works for me and PRL and Profile updates work great.

Yeah Xionia kernel supports ext 2/3/4 I believe.

There are other enhancements as well im sure but when I was on V9 I couldn't update PRL.

Anywho, yes this is the only difference. For those who do not want to go through the update process, I made nROM v1.5.1 and all later versions compatible. All the benefits of VC at the expense of the ability to update PRL and profile.

NOTE: I didn't update. I just update my PRL with QPST anyways. Profile is only really important for account changes and troubleshooting.

For those who did update I put together nROM_v1.5.2_VC.zip which simply has the ability to update PRL and profile. However, any earlier versions of nROM do work with VC basebands.

So to sum it up, VC software was not backwards compatible with v9 at first, but I made a few changes so it could be. Hence the inability to update PRL and profile. Hope this clears up any confusion. Please download the proper version of nROM.

Flash nROM again and you'll be fine.

I re-flashed and all it did was give me back my contacts. My home button and apps still dont work. Any more suggestions please?

Also, my security pattern doesnt come up when i lock my phone. please help me!!!!!!!!!!

What do you mean by your apps don't work? Maybe you should try wiping data and starting fresh.

Running Xionia Clockwork Mod 1.2518.4

In Recovery - Made a current backup of my Rom

Downloaded nRom 1.5.2-VC edition and had it on the root of SDCard

Rebooted into nRom and plugged into Windows 7 machine, ran the LG Updater

Updated to version VD through LG updater, about 15 minutes for updating

Phone rebooted into a somewhat nRom 1.5.2

Rebooted into Recovery mode - flashed nRom 1.5.2 - VC edition

Wiped the cache directory

Rebooted - wait while it re-builds dalvik - back into nRom 1.5.2 VC with VD update.

Phone still had root and super-user - no extra hacking required.

another baseband update to fix the lg hang for us that we all had on VC its super easy to upgrade though it just takes a good 20 minutes

How to: Update your rooted V9/VC baseband Optimus S to VD w/out losing all your data.

Yeah apparently this works fine with VD, so upgrade to VD and flash nROM_v1.5.2_VC.zip

Sorry, yea - the 1.5.2_VC has absolutely no issues on the LG - VD version update

I have not seen any boot issues, and it actually seems to be a little snappier than V9

I need to do more testing, but VD seems to have better radio than V9
