i've been getting a client failed to authenticate the dm server (48) ever since i installed the vd update. any ideas?

on a positive note, i'm getting facebook notifications again now that im using your rom

That's odd, seems to be working for me. Sometimes it is just difficult and takes a few attempts

I would suggest just installing a different browser like miren or dolphin. I'll look for a modded stock browser thpugh that allows this.

Thanks, didn't realize it was a browser issue. I tried them both and I like Miren. Too many pop up ads with Dolphin.

Yea good choice. I use Miren and it has a ton of potential.

is the gallery app you included not multi-touch? pinch to zoom doesn't seem to work or the pinch preview of the galleries. It is a ton faster though.

1.6.1 runs good. I did edit the build.prop changed the density back to 140, but that is just my preference. Also changed the notification drop down to say nROM. Thanks.

It's the moto droid gallery app. No multitouch but it loads a ton faster than the stock one. I could put together the stock one in a flashable zip if you want.

1.6 is an absolutely great rom - very smooth - don't see tombstones

Seems stable and fast, no force closing of anything

I'm not sure if I even want to apply 1.6.1 as I don't want my profile updated

I am still using PRL 40065 which is a good one for me up here in the Pac NW

Thanks a ton! Yeah there isn't really any performance gain with 1.6.1 it's more of just visual tweaks.

Here are some tweak tips for people as well:

1) When you do a nandroid backup with CWMA - wipe the cache beforehand
Saves space on the backup and if you do a restore, better to re-fresh dalvik anyway

2) Get and use root explorer! you can manually go in and delete tombstones, dontpanic entries, etc - free up some data space

3) you can delete extra market, gmail, google maps updates and move them from data -> /system
If you do a bunch of these, reboot to recovery, wipe cache, and reboot to re-build dalvik-cache

4) if you downloaded extra fonts (I have about 10 font packs) you can put them in /system and save /data

Lot of space-saving tweaks you can do like this

10 font packs, 8 games, various other apps, and still have about 70mb free on /data
and not a single app is running from the SD card - all on the /data partition

Delete button in the Dialer is a different shade of black then call and voicemail.

Great work as always. Rom runs like butter. Would prefer normal density, though.
