Well, if I can get Zefie's sources and patches and stuff, I could start compiling some builds for us. I have only 6 days left of high school 'til I graduate, so after that I have free time. Once I'm in college, I'm going to be majoring in telecommunications, so I'll have access to servers where I could run a nightly-building script.

If you can accomplish this, you will be a god walking amongst mere mortals. Please try.

make sure to wipe all data and all cache and use the systemformat zip

1) Make Nandroid Backup
2) Wipe all data/ all cache (NOT OPTIONAL)
3) Goto "mounts and storage", choose "format system" (Xionia CWMA only,(ALSO NOT OPTIONAL)
3) Install zips* provided (in correct order)
4) Reboot and enjoy beta gingerbread.

I now get to the google apps, but when i click the adnroid dude, it freezes or loops between the boot loader and the google app setup again

You flash the right gapps? I flashed the wrong one by mistake when I messed mine up and it would boot loop until I flashed the right one

If this helps, here is the link to Zefie's github...... https://github.com/zefie/android Good luck to you! :)

.........................................................Anyone else hear of 2.3.4 leaking out to optimus v????

i am running the latest zelfie CM7 and the only issue (that i care about) is that my wifi will not turn on. and it never has with this ROM (no builds have given me wifi). anyone have any ideas?

also, anyone else see the little treat when you go into "about phone" and click on "mod version" over and over fast? pretty nifty.

Thanks for all the help guys, this wasnt my first trip around the block, but this optimus s was being a pain lol. I have it installed and love it, i only have two issues so far : Fm Radio doesnt play sound, and my gps will not turn off for whatever reason, other than that its running great

You do format system prior to flashing, right?

I just flashed this a few days ago, and the only issue I'm having with it is that my phone randomly stops charging. As in, the phone just randomly decides that it's no longer connected to the charger. When I plug the phone in overnight, it'll charge for a bit, but then stops and begins to drain the battery, so when I wake up it's at 30% or so. If I unplug it and plug it back in, it'll recognize again that it's connected to the charger and begin to charge.

I've never had this problem before. I tried getting it all the way charged and wiping the battery stats, but this didn't help. Any suggestions?

With CyanogenMod/AOSP ROMs, you generally want to do a full wipe before flashing. In the LG ROMs, wiping isn't that necessary since there are no major changes (usually).

Oh, and 4 days until I reinstall a *nix distro and start preparing the building haha.

Flashed this ROM today, anyone know how to make BT work? BT seems to connect but does not transmit any sound.

Sorry, bt doesn't work on this rom......known issue. I think aosp's new 2.3.4 update does have it working for some. Haven't had a chance to try it myself, yet.....
