I finally got yes I did wipe 2 times. Any themes for the dialer and etc like Reborn

Welcome to CM7, a wonderful world where themes are instant and install just like apps. Might I recommend this thread:

  • Any idea why the "mixer" theme doesn't work. Is in not compatible with the optimus s. I'm currently using cyanskulls but I really want the "mixer" theme

Did you select the MDPI download? If not, try that, since our phones are MDPI. If you did, then I have no idea why it doesn't work. What kind of error message is it giving you?

Something like "theme was not compiled correctly. Please contact theme author with issue" I downloaded the wallpaper with no problems probably because its a .apk file. Could it be because they are zip files

Maybe its because I'm still in my twenties but I'm not quite sure why you'd want to turn your phone off, but why not just put it in airplane mode and turn the screen off. Same thing really except start up is a hell of a lot faster. That way its got no contact with the outside world, but its still on standby.

Sorry for the late reply to this---I prefer to have the phone off when it is charging. I have found with airplane mode and charging the battery that I still have to shut the phone down for everything to work the way it is suppose to after charging it all the way. There used to be a battery screen that would come up. Even if I turn the phone off all the way and then plug in the charger, it starts the phone up. I don't really call that a feature per say, I would say this is a bug. From what I read on another forum, it is something that they are aware of. I may be one of a few, but I don't want to leave my phone in airplane mode. My phone doesn't really take that long to boot up, but if I have to reboot the phone after putting it in airplane mode--what's the point?? Plus---to fully charge a phones battery, you must turn the phone off. If the phone is left on at all--even with the screen off, it creates a trickle charge and constantly having a charge put on the battery which in the long run can weaken it faster.

long run being 1500 - 2000 cycles... or 5-7 years... I'll probably have a new phone by then.

Since his post was some time ago, no. He got mad at it one day and broke the LCD. That being said, the fact that there hasn't been an update in 2 months... ill tell you this the 4/19 release is the best, and definitely ready for daily use

Zefie hasn't compiled in over 2 months nor logged into the forum in over a month. His optimus died and he moved onto a different device. I'm currently reaching out to him to find out a status.

Even if this ROM is no longer actively developed the thread will not be locked and users will continue to be able to download, use and discuss this ROM. I will simply put a banner in the OP notifying users it's no longer developed. For those of you looking for a CM version that were compiled more recently than 2 months ago, make sure you check out ath3nos's work.

As always, tip your developer. If you enjoy their work, even if the ROM is no longer developed :)

Go over the Optimus V forums. There is a Reference Guide that will tell you what to do step by step. Don't flash any Optimus S stuff to your Optimus V.

Is there a MetroPCS MMS workaround or has anybody reported it works with this ROM?

Just installed this ROM and its working great, but I noticed that the lasted version was posted back in April. Is this ROM still in development or is it done?

This ROM has been abandoned by its Dev, Zefie. Unfortunately he smashed his Optimus a while ago, and development ceased. Try out Ath3nos' ROM, it's a continuation of this rom, with pretty much all the features working, and having the latest Android (2.3.4). I'm personally loving it, it's awesome, and it's in development. Check it out!

EDIT: Ath3no's ROM is called 'Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread)' in the Rooting/ROMS section.
