Re: The Scott Pilgrim ROM (CM7 Gingerbread, Zefie Edition) (Curre

This ROM has been abandoned by its Dev, Zefie. Unfortunately he smashed his Optimus a while ago, and development ceased. Try out Ath3nos' ROM, it's a continuation of this rom, with pretty much all the features working, and having the latest Android (2.3.4). I'm personally loving it, it's awesome, and it's in development. Check it out!

EDIT: Ath3no's ROM is called 'Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread)' in the Rooting/ROMS section.
Thanks for the quick reply! I assume that anything working in the Scott Pilgrim ROM is working in the Ath3nos ROM as well?

Yeah, whatever works here will work in Ath3nos too. It has native screenshot support, permissions management, bluetooth, and everything else working, even MMS. So far I haven't experienced any issues!

Awesome, I'm excited to try it out! Last question for you, do I need to do a full wipe if I'm coming from Pilgrim ROM or do you think it would be fun to just flash right over it?

I would recommend a complete wipe.

How would I go about replacing everything with the camera back to stock. Could it be as simple as file replacement, repacking and resigning the archive.

Or does this job go into recompiling.

You would have to flash the stock VD rom.

So there is no way to keep the CM7 rom and just replace the camera/vid apps with that of the stock rom - or reborn rom.

Nope. The frameworks are just too different. Same reason that Windows Vista/7 applications won't run on XP.

EDIT: Just now realized that this here is my 1,000th post! Party time! LMFAO

Does anyone else have issue with the stock camera apps on this rom? Other than me....

Pretty sure you're the only one actually using this ROM. You should check out the ath3nos/IHO build of CM7, the software is newer and it is a little faster too. MMS doesn't work in the currently available build but a fix has been found and I bet it'll be included in the next released build.

Actually I was waiting for Drew to open up an issue on gerrit, but I'll go ahead and do that. Then it's just a matter of waiting for the CM7 guys to merge it, me to pick it up again, and someone to make a build after that.

You guys are all more than welcome to build your own ROMs, there's a thread in the OV forum.

lol I havn't used this in a while, but I really want to use a CM or Aosp rom of some kind. I would be using Ath3nos rom but it's far incomplete for me at this point.

Ath3no's ROM has all and more of the features provided in the AOSP/Scott Pilgrim ROMS. Check it out more thoroughly, practically all users are loving it.

Lol sorry about that, I registered an account but couldn't figure out how to submit anything. Also blarf, can you please contact me directly? I've been banging my head trying to solve the issue of the power button end call setting not having any effect. I think I've narrowed down the code that controls this behaviour but I need a second opinion. Thanks.

Re: The Scott Pilgrim ROM (CM7 Gingerbread, Zefie Edition) (Curre

can a mod mark this thread as a "dead rom"?

Re: The Scott Pilgrim ROM (CM7 Gingerbread, Zefie Edition) (Curre

there will never be an update of this rom.

You mean the lines/squares? I did, I switched to Unofficial CM7, camera & vid works fine, only thing not 100% working is BT for calls, works for music...
