Try the "wipe/factory reset", then wipe Dalvik, (under advanced), then flash the "Wipe system.zip" file, then flash CM7. Alternately, instead of flashing the wipesystem.zip file, go into the "mounts" menu, and select "format /system". Doing the factory wipe, a dalvik wipe, and system format got me out of the LGMobile screen.

Did exactly that and now I am on 216.
I still need help with the sprint apps. When I had a CM ROM on my HD2, it used to remember all my installed apps and would start installing them right after I went into market. Not anymore.

A good solution to this (Which i use), is to install Titanium Backup (free version) and run a backup of all apps+app data. This way you can wipe all data/cache/etc. and then reinstall all the apps that you want to use.

Intended for the future. Obviously, if its been wiped, they are gone. But this may be a helpful/time-saving idea for going to the next release.

OK, this is awesome, but my OCD is kicking in. How do I change the carrier text from Sprint to VM?

If you're simply referring to where it says Sprint at the top of the notification dropdown bar, this can be changed by editing the build.prop in a text editor. Look for the line:

ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Sprint

Change it to:

ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Virgin Mobile

Or anything else you like. Spaces work fine. Right now i have mine set to "ThundeROM ______ 1.6.2" so that on my two point two theme the little android guy sits in that space. No real point to this mod, just for giggles.

anyone figured out their voicemail? I actually miss the voicemail button in the phone dialer that brought me to a visual list of my voicemail messages, with each one downloaded for me to play back.. I'm assuming this is because the sprint dialer app isn't the same as the stock gingerbread/CM dialer app.. any way I can get this back without too many headaches?

I haven't worked on visual voicemail yet but guys just call your own phone number until we figure out how to fix the 1 shortcut.

For anyone wanting their sprint apps, I have mine installed perfectly fine. I didn't flash the zip from thunderrom though. They are from my titanium backup. Try extracting the apk files from the zip and installing them manually. I didn't try opening them yet so I can't verify any of them working. Just not boot loops.

PS, anyone else notice a complete lack of bass when any music is playing (both in music and youtube apps). ringtones seem okay (as much bass as they can have i guess), but otherwise music playback is very tinny..

oh, i didn't see it in the issues. then again, that was last night. looks like it exploded since then..

all the details i can offer really is that whenever i go to play music on my phone (even through other apps such as youtube or pandora) there is a lack of bass. almost as if the phone doesn't realize there's speakers plugged into it (sounds like it's still coming out of the speakerphone, only louder). i've tried wiping cache/davlik, rebooting many times, still same issue. looks like the tracked issue is reporting the same exact issue. that's a good thing, i guess?

another note, for those of you trying to get the sprint phone apk back on, don't try it. it messes up a whole bunch of things, and now i'm wiping data/cache and reflashing. kept getting a FC of some android.acore service and it wouldn't ever find service. d'oh! lesson learned i guess..

yes i reported it on the issues page. at least i know its rom specific, and i didnt mess up my new optimus ^_^

I dont know if i should submit this for bug.. but it connect to my Bluetooth but does not transmit call audio of any kind ... says "connected to phone audio" in the settings ..

not trying to be a smartass or anything i just literally found it like an hour before you posted it xD I might have it working, I got sound but its distorted, too loud, so I'm trying to tweak the volume.
