Was able to get visual voicemail to work today by doing the following:

From XDA

1. Go to your VVM
2. Press Menu and choose "Compose"
3. For recipient To:__________ type in "activate@vvm.sprint.com" (no quotes)
4. Press Record then Stop
5. Send (you may have to make a display name.
6. Reboot

I still can't get the activation message to send... I remember I tried this a while ago as well, as ran into the same problem (error t-30). Any suggestions?

Personally, I like google voice, same features as sprint vvm, and you get free transcribing.

Hot damn, I just finished setting this up and it's so much easier and better than VVM ever was. Thank you for convincing me to finally try it out. Plus, no annoying texts this way. Love it!

Has anyone else seen the camera show up in spare parts, under sensor usage in battery history, as using 1.5+ hrs of usage, with adobe reader closely behind? I've had lousy battery life 2 days in a row after flashing this rom again... wondering how much this effects my issue.

for every nightly that is updated, does that mean that you have to wipe all your system data? (meaning you loose all your data, and have to reinstall all your apps?)

Only if instructed this latest one yes but usually we've not had to.

yea ive noticed sometimes the data stays connected not sure whats doing it but the phone starts to get hot. i think i might be after using google maps or navigation.

Just flashed the new nightly today and noticed that my clock in my notification clock says 3:58 while the one on my lockscreen says the correct time which is 9:58 is anyone else having this issue and are there any possible fixes

I noticed that when I first flashed - a reboot did the trick.

You should if the OS is changing versions, but most times you can wipe your cache's and flash over.

What you can do is use titanium back up to back up the vvm from a rom that has vm working and then jump on the nightly and restore the data for vvm.. thats what we do over at xda for the evo :)

CM7 4G.

Yeah, I also copied the vtt-sprint.apk to my SD card and dropped it in /system/app via root explorer, but noticed it worked after doing the steps from the XDA thread. So it could have been partly the other step as well. Tried a bunch of things.

I just tried out the Google Voice as well and think I'll be sticking with that, it looks pretty sweet.

checked with another friends phone and he was running cm7 but he did not have the problem with google maps he had an htc phone though. could it be a problem with this build of cm7 on the optimus. anyone else having problems getting search results when say you are looking for restaurants or gas and no results come up?

I like the 2.3 its really smooth and fast but a few complaints
1. I have to connect and then reconnect to get any Bluetooth device to work.
2. I can't search in Google maps
3. Sometimes the phone doesn't connect when dialing and the screen goes off for about a minute.
If anyone has any fixes for these please do reply.
But thanks for the build and keep up the good work, i would donate but college student sorry.

First off, thanks for this great mod but I had some problems when using the mod. I was using the newest nightly ROM 030211 and it was going great until today. I noticed the maps search didn't work (I see it's a bug with the newest Maps release). And I kept getting dropped calls and starting today I couldn't even make any calls (Call would be lost) messages which I think has to do with the switching between roaming and non roaming. I thought it was just a bug so I restored the nandroid backups for the past few days but I kept getting the same bugs. I eventually just switched to TR 1.6.2 and everything works. For a while there I thought I screwed up the phone. Hope I am the only one experiencing these issues.

Thanks for the mod again, I look forward to future versions.

1: thats a listed bug, please try to keep in mind this for all intensive purposes should be treated as a pre-alpha release and not everything is going to be fixed with just some one bringing it up. The second half of that is, this is a listed bug, it is not necessary to re-re-re-re-re-re list a bug that's been known and already reported. the devs are working on it, they'll get to it when they get to it. The only reason i'm trying to respectfully harp on this is that it's VERY important to understand that this is a NIGHTLY release, not a presentable, packaged product thats meant for mass consumption, dont start with "love it but..."

the dialing is a sprint issue friend has a moment and hero and has the same issue, which i also noticed intermittently with the stock rom. make sure you have the settings for keep screen awake, and always use proximity sensor are checked.

First of all this ROM is A-W-S-O-M-E i really love it, the only problem I'm having with it, is that when i put in "vibrate mode" it doesn't vibrate at all

I don't know what it can be the cause.

EDIT: actually the vibration doesn't work at all now, and i really need it when I'm at work :S

Are you sure you're not just putting it in silent mode instead?
