I got the error right away, I probably have stuff all messed up from compiling for Evo, and I started a aosp rom for thunderc right before I switched devices. Though I did sync everything, build enviroment looks good, just wont happen :(

corey@corey-desktop:~/android/system$ . build/envsetup.sh
including device/lge/thunderc/vendorsetup.sh
including vendor/cyanogen/vendorsetup.sh

Hope you get it!!!:)

It's slow going but still compiling. I had to use -j16 to compile or I get errors due to memory. Hopefully by tomorrow I will have something to post.

How the h*** do you flash this rom to the factory VD baseband? I cannot find a way to do it. Any tools or instructions would be greatly appreciated!

I would follow return to stock threads. From there root then nandroid backup, upgrade from the the phones prompts, restore nandroid backup, then flash this rom

Woke up this morning and it had not finished compiling and had stopped. It took me a bit to figure out that my cat walked on my keyboard last night, lol. Having to start over with the compile process, but it is working on it. End of the day maybe? I'm not sure. Just wanted to throw out an update on it.

Do you want to upgrade from a previous baseband or just return to stock vd rom?

Did you tie your cat to something large and heavy WELL AWAY from your keyboard?

If not, please do so at your earliest convenience.

Tied him to a cement block and dropped it in the pool. Still compiling. This damn laptop is a POS. It keeps shutting down on it's own and I have to start over. Guess I need to start saving for a new one.

Ok so I need quick newbie help, just rooted with gingersnap, trying to flash CM7 here with clockwork recovery and can't figure out for the life of me how to do so...Any takers on some newbie help??? I get the RAR's but what the hell do I do with em after I extract em and load em on SD? I try to "Install ROM from SD" in clockwork recovery but it just opens folders. No "Executable" files that would "Flash." I know it may be the ultimate weak sauce but please help...:'(

Zefie was very clear. Do not unzip. Load the debug zip, gapps zip, and current nightly still wrapped on the root of the sd. wipe data cache flash debug, nightly, then gaps and reboot.

Don't look for executables. Look for zip files. You flash the zip file. The one found in the op should be called update-cm-7-04282011-NIGHTLY-thunderc-Xionia-signed.zip. If you placed it on the root of your sd card you don't need to open any folders, just scroll until you find it.

Nothing like spending 2 days to try to compile source code only to find out I didn't copy proprietary files. Back to the compiling board.

Keep the faith! Lets all hope it works. Nice to have someone working on this while zefie is on sabbatical.

Cat has been locked up and starting the process yet again. This time I got the proprietary files. However, zefie changed it to full-eng so I'm not sure it will do what it is suppose to do. I do know that the 4/28 build was 2.3.3 and this one will be 2.3.4 because it is synced up with CM.

Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress. Personally, I don't think it's necessary though so don't stress it. Take your time, most of us are patient enough.

I noticed you were having some build issues. If you need a box to build on remotely, let me know and I'll get you setup.

I'll admit to having some alterior motives. I've got a browser game my players have been begging me to port to android, but with no FF on ARM6, I need some help understanding android to find another way. (Native browser plugins?)

Eh, if you interested in helping out, I'll happily provide some cycles for you.

Same errors I was getting. AOSP somehow got his to sync though, because AFAIK, he used the device tree from the Optimus S. I've contacted AOSP to see if he could link me the source that he used, but he hasn't replied in about 2 weeks :P

Aosp comes off as someone who isn't into sharing, I don't see a github for his work and there is always a change log missing with his releases. I think he takes a lot from other ROM developers and incorporates it to his aospCMod ROM without giving proper credit. His posse usually will reply with something like "Android is Apache licensed, therefore not sharing the source is ok." I very much doubt you'll get a reply from him.
