oh and i did finally figure out the cause of the volume thing so...
no more normalization and speaker is much louder

This is awesome news. It was the one thing that was still bugging me, and I definitely couldn't have figured it out myself!

Great news about the volume normalization!

I've been using CM7 in place of Lego and loving it. Now if only Swype would play nice it would be my favorite.

And yeah, it's awesome to flip back and forth between backups with thunderc recovery

You guys are the best!

So something I've noticed.. not sure if it's a CM thing or something else I may have done, but anyway.. The market only shows like 3 of my apps, and titanium has the same issue, but at least shows maybe 10. Still missing a whole bunch (I have probably close to 100 apps total). Anyone else running this (latest released nightly) seeing this issue, or did I just do something else stupid to make it happen? All the apps are still installed, and show up in the app drawer, and run perfectly fine. They just don't show up (most of them, anyway) in either market or titanium..

I had an issue with market not show all of my apps and sometimes crashing, so I used Titanium Backup to clear data on the Market and it fixed it.

Whoooo.. stupidity was the cause lol. I had a filter on in titanium from the last time i was searching for something, and clearing that, plus clearing cache one more time, and clearing data of it through titanium fixed it.

</stupid>

so i cant get the email widget to receive my email from yahoo but it worked in lego does anyone know how to fix that

Some apps (like RadioTime) are not Gingerbread compatible so our paid apps just 'vanish' until the developers decide to update it for API v9. Which is annoying that RadioTime updated Tune In Radio but not RadioTime.

Perfect marketing though, make us use the ad-ridden one and not update the one we already paid for because they won't profit off updating that >.>

yep and paypal isn't on v9 yet either... T.T, but not a deal breaker, i'm liking gingerbread, and CM settings are what i've been missing since i got off the htc saphire

I'm having problems with GPS in CM7: it works just fine in GPS Status, but in Google Maps, after about 30 seconds or so, it says "Your current location is temporarily unavailable."

GPS works just fine in TR 1.6.2 (Google Maps pinpoints my location within a few seconds).

I've done data/factory reset, wiped cache, wiped Dalvik, did a fresh install of Build 02182011, and immediately installed Google Maps (performed no other operations other than connect to my wifi network)... it still doesn't work.

I even updated to ZVC (and rooted)... it still doesn't work.

"Use wireless networks" and "Use GPS satellites" are both enabled in "Location & security settings".

EDIT: After receiving "Your current location is temporarily unavailable" in Google Maps, the GPS icon (solid circle inside other circle) continues to blink indefinitely until I exit Google Maps.

SOLVED: Upon first boot of a freshly flashed CM7 rom, it prompts you to "Allow Google's location service to collect anonymous location data"... this must be enabled! This is independent of "Use wireless networks", "Use GPS satellites" settings, and I'm not sure how to access this setting if it is not initially enabled. So, make sure it is enabled when it first prompts you, otherwise you may have GPS problems like I did!

Thanks. I didn't select that option when I had gps issues. After flashing nightly 20, I did and all is better.

Just wanted to post that it is possible to send SMS over 160 characters if you use GO SMS from the market. Haven't tried any other messaging programs but I bet they work too.

I know the idea is to stay native, but this works for now.
