So I have noticed that sometimes my signal icons are white and sometimes green. What is the difference?

Green means you're synced. turn background data off and it'll stay white.

Just got the square card reader but isn't working with build. I assume it has to do with the audio port? Plugs in there. Will logs or anything be useful?

I don't know how to "sign" things, not even sure what it is. Again, i just modded nick7's file, so if you haven't caught it yet I don't really get all this stuff. I'm a little lost when it comes to programming. I'm still working on high school. But hey, i've got all A's!

Also, even if you did donate, donating is showing thanks, not enabling the right to special privileges, like me bending over backwards to change something for you.

In fact donations have trickled to a halt, while demands and bugs come pouring in, it turns more into a job and I get less motivated to do anything with it. It is all open source, it is all on my github, feel free to do it better.

Zefie, I for one sincerely hope that you don't give up on CM7. This is by far the build that I'm most excited about and can't wait to run. I keep an eye on this thread everyday to watch it progress along.

Things are moving along great, please keep up the good fight for the most promising, unique build for the Optimus yet!

I like this ROM, but by battery drains like a sieve overnight, 100 to 40%.
Wifi, left on, nothing noticeable running, and can't see anything else
that could be the problem.

Tried to look at batt usage and its shows a straight gradual drop. cell standby 34% with no signal 2%, phone idle 30%, wifi 29%, display 7%.

I don't know how else to troubleshoot if it's an app or service, or the ROM?

I gotta say, its a shame that donations have essentially stopped. Now is when a little $ now might be the encouragement needed to not give up on this, as i'm sure its frustrating with all the bull**** that goes along with being a developer.
As far as donation usernames, it is entirely possible that his paypal username is different. I know my donation was under username jewelflower3579, which is my wife's (easier as it is already verified to bank account).
We all appreciate your work and I hope that the few negative nancies don't discourage you from continuing on with the build.

What is a lets say a sufficient donation??? I have paypal but not alot of money... is $5 ok or is ot just an insult... but if $5 x 100 people should help...

Lol as long as the donation is not a negative amount I don't think any donation is an insult. It's been said but the devs don't do this for the money. That's just a bonus.

I sure hope you continue working on this project zefie. I continue to enjoy the level of dev support our growing Optimus S community gets.

I encourage all of the fellow users out there to take a step back a look at what we have. Give the devs a thanks (a donation if you can) and let them know their efforts are truly appreciated. These guys have obligations outside of the forum and I'm guessing their dev work here doesn't pay well, so positive feedback goes a long way.

This forum gave me the know-how and support to be able to root and customize my Optimus S to my liking. I (we) wouldn't have been able to do any of it without the devs.

Keep up the good work. It would be a shame if a small number ruined it for the rest of us. Sorry for the off topic post, but I had to say something. Stepping off soapbox.

To add to this, many of those complaining should think about something:

You are running this ROM, which in itself proves that you like it more than the other roms. if that's because of a single feature or the big picture, you still like it and should thank the person responsible for it, not brow beat them to death for not having the one feature you want, especially when you want it on a version of android that hasn't even been released for this phone. Show some respect, and quit spamming the thread with requests and problems, there's a issue report thread for that on the OP.

You just have a weak signal. 1x is the data network protocol below evdo/"3g".

Also, if you are in the same place as you were able to get 3g before, reflash the rom. I had this problem too, I could never get 3g in places i used to, and then i reflashed and POOF problem solved.
