What is a lets say a sufficient donation??? I have paypal but not alot of money... is $5 ok or is ot just an insult... but if $5 x 100 people should help...

Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk

Anything over $1 is fine, though usually at least $3 is preferred only because anything less and paypal is taking a good percentage of it (35 cents for $1!)

Ok, enough with this rhetoric about asking the dev to improve the features we want. I must say I am extremely satisfied with the level of stability this rom provides so far.

Ask not what Zefie can do for you, but what you can do for Zefie!

Zefie, besides testing day to day, is there any particular feature or bug that you need help testing?

Mostly I need a C++ coder to take a wack at libaudio lol

There was a possible fix posted on the last page which may help. Tested it out today and my battery stopped charging at 89%, not sure if that means anything or not (it just got to that point so it could just be the phone not wanting to complete the charge cycle just yet or something).

One thing I've noticed, I can't seem to send/recieve MMS messages, even using Handcent. Anyone else experienced this/have any ideas? (EDIT: Before anyone asks, I've restarted the phone and flashed the latest nightly, with no change)

building a new nightly.. they updated to 2.3.3... no Optimus S specific changes or fixes. I'm kinda stuck until I get a C++ dev to fix libaudio.

Seeking way to enable "split sms over 160 characters" by default.

Enjoy 2.3.3 :)

Zefie, can anything be done to improve the battery drain situation?

no idea what you are talking about I have excellent battery as long as I keep my brightness as low as possible.

I went 8 hours without battery with occasional usage (data and voice) and only lost 10%.

It may be your overclock settings, if any. Make sure you use something like INTERACTIVE or ONDEMAND, because the performance setting sets you at 100% power even when its idle and screen off

Zefie, I seem to be having issues sending any MMS. I wiped, and reflashed the 02272011 build twice (wiping and flashing the format system zip each time) but I still can't send anything. Any idea what could be wrong?

Hmm, random thought (and not trying to poke holes in things, just something that popped in to mind) - I know Zefie had to do a MMS fix earlier in the ROM's history and I know it was working at that time. Guessing it's something that doesn't work in the main Cyanogenmod build then... so any chance that during the last build (where it was only brought up to date with the main release of CM7) that some part of the fix could have been left out? :P

In that case, even if Zefie doesn't have time to fix it, I may be able to take a crash course in doing it if it's just something simple, wouldn't be the first thing I'd compiled :P

I have a question:

to flash cm7 gingerbread do I need the VC update or would I be fine flashing it with the V9 version?

It's working fine for me, and most others, so I'd say a reflash should fix it? But if you're willing to take a crash course, might as well put it toward the audio issue, since I've got absolutely no background in coding. Even though my spring break is about to start, I won't have much time to learn the stuff from scratch..

I'm running in on a V9 fine. Many others are as well..

I've reflashed more than once with more than one version of the ROM (the 25 and the 27). No go on either :( I did a full wipe today to make sure that it wasn't anything weird, and it did not work after that either. It does work in ThundeROM 1.7, so it definitely seems to be something ROM related to me.

As for the audio issue, I'm not much of a programmer and that would require quite a bit more time put aside that I don't have - I help out in an official capacity on two MMOs (one of which is the new Star Trek MMO that's coming out later this year). I have tomorrow off (and due to some stuff with the MMOs, probably won't have much to do with them tomorrow either), so I'd assume I could figure out how to compile the ROM (since there's plenty of tutorials out there) and fix something that seems relatively simple (not saying five minute fix, but if I have all day...) in a days worth of time, whereas taking on reprograming a library would require me learning a programming language that I don't know well (I did do some C programming at one point, but that was a long time ago) and take a few weeks to get enough of an understanding to be of help.

I've found the exact same issue on my phone. I even have a Thunderom backup incase I need to send something urgently, though granted restoring isn't exactly fast.

I've tried both handcent and the default messaging app.

Both hang on sending (like, they just perpetually say "Sending") and the message is never sent. If I receive a MMS then I'll get the subject and a download button; pressing the button causes it to display "Downloading" but it won't do anything else (like sending, it will just say "Downloading" until I restart the phone).

EDIT: Clearing data and such didn't work, though one MMS that I did get was apparently supposed to be a SMS, according to the sender's phone. So going to try wiping all my messages and trying again, just to see what happens. :P

EDIT Part 2: That didn't appear to fix it.

What are you using to send it with? I'm using handcent and it works fine..

I use handcent and I've tried using the default messaging app as well.

Edit: Just to clarify, I receive MMS fine, the problem is sending. Just as trekkie described, it gets hung on sending and never sends.

details would be helpful.. what are you sending, what is the size of the mms, any error logs specific to the mms? maybe the file limit is wrong, idk but we need stats from successful and failed mms
