I too cannot update Angry Birds.

It might be the apps fault not the ROM's because others in the Market "review" section are also complaining about it. Hopefully Rovio will soon fix this.

If you get "Download Failed" there might not be enough space. You need to have at least 17mb or even more free in the cache partition for Angry Birds to update. I wish the downloads went to the SD card and not to the limited phone space. In this regard Android OS is a bit convoluted. I have to temporarily delete some dalvik-cache files to update some of the larger apps.

Anyone having problems previewing ringtones since updating to 1.8.2 by chance? When I go into Sound -> Phone Ringtone, and select one - I don't get the preview sound anymore... Yes, volume is turned up. :)
I'm contemplating wiping my phone and reinstalling (I just updated over the top of 1.8 before) but everything else seems to be working fine so I'd like to confirm whether or not I'm the only one experiencing this issue before I do?!

EDIT: OK, it looks like it doesn't happen all the time. I just disabled and re-enabled the volume a bunch of times and then it started working. Weird. I think I'm going to wipe data and reload...

UPDATE: Sorry everyone. After troubleshooting, I've realized the issue is not with TR but is actually with my alarm clock app (Alarm Clock Xtreme - paid version). They released an update today that appears to be knocking out the sounds on my phone when I go in to select the ringtone for the alarm sound. I'll email the developer! Sorry again for the wasted post! :(

Can't add Google Account ???

I'm on Sprint with an LG Optimus S. I cleared my data/cache/dalvik, flashed Thunder v1.8.2, rebooted, and when going through initial setup to add a google account... i keep getting the error "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server." ...

anything I can try?

I had the same problem. Skip setting up the account, finish the setup wizard, then when you get into the launcher, do Settings_>Accounts and Sync and set your account up from there.

Tried that too... no dice. I guess I'll go with another ROM... shame too, I love Thunder.

Just curous, which launcher does everyone run with this rom? I used to use ADW then LauncherPro, but recently switched to GoLauncher. Its pretty smooth.

Any others out there worth trying?

same here. I decided to stay with GOLauncher EX. All launchers are pretty cool but I guess its just a matter of preference.

Go launcher is smooth? I tried it today and suffered horrendous lag especially in the app drawer. :(

I have over 60 MB of free space, so I'm pretty sure thats not the problem.

How do I free the cache partition for Angry Birds??

On a stock phone, dalvik-cache is not in /cache, it is is /data, so there would have been room to download (but less room to install)

I'm a Go dev fan. Go launcher ex + Go launcher ex notification + Go weather + Go sms + Go contacts. Eagerly awaiting the launch of Go IME and Go browser and you can bet I'll use those too :)
