So....what's on the agenda for tomorrows update? lol

We're working on some stuff for sure, we have some neat things coming in the future, some we've talked about, some we've never mentioned ;)

Theres also a chance we're working closely with a famous/infamous developer who may or may not be working on something for exclusive distribution in ThundeROM :: shrugs::

Who knows what the future holds?

Looks like I will have to flash the stock speed kernel. The stock one for this rom idles down too far for smooth music playback...

One of these guys that run thunderom is a mechanic! Maybe he can give some advice for you :)

I stand corrected I do have 1.6 not 1.6.2 could you please send link for 1.6.2

Read the OP and you will find the link.

*edit*
Seems that was a page ago, this is moving fast.

Also:

MD5 = 9805CBB5BB500804F3212D046D44DD00

ThundeROM_V1.6.zip = 83.9 MB (88,055,808 bytes)

To further add to that discussion.

I had some issue with the new 1.6.2 rom.
Here is what I have tried:
1. Flash from 1.5 to 1.62 without wipe, get reboot every a couple of minutes.
2. Wipe data/cache/etc, flash to 1.62, still reboot every a couple of minutes.
3. Did a nandroid recovery to stock v9, the phone works great.
4. Wipe data/cache/etc, flash old 1.5 rom, phone works great.
5. nandroid recovery back to stock v9, wipe data/cache/etc, flash new 1.62 rom, rebooting again.
6. So I start to read this thread more carefully, and read that the 1.62 set CPU clock from 245 to 7xx. Downloaded the boot_600_max.zip and flashed it. Now the phone works ok.

So, my question is: does this mean that my phone cannot run at 7xxMHz? Thanks.

I have only used that app once and that was on a hero. I didn't like it,you could always run it for a little while and if all is good then post back cause im sure your not the only one wondering.

I've been using it for a while. Says it is almost doubling battery life but I dunno.

Mainly it turns on/off the radios when screen is off and just does a quick data sync on a schedule. Also the paid version can turn on/off learned wifi connections.

It probably can it just doesn't like to boot at the 748max,you can flash the 600max then use setCPU or anyother overclocking app. Some phones are just picky.

So what if you get a call and the screens off, does it flip the radio on and let you answer?

Thunderom 1.6.2

I just rooted and added my custom recovery.

Im now looking to flash thunderom 1.6.2 onto my optimus S.

Does thunderom overclock the phone?

or is that another step for me to do after getting thunderom on

Yes it does 748max/245min you can adjust with a app to your liking.

Menus

Please update to have the first letter of each system menu word capitalized. Looks a tad unprofessional. Great job otherwise.

but all my apps are gone...

do i have to redownload everything? or how do i get them back

We'll look into changing them but, we didnt change those. Thats how every single android phone is unless the carrier/manufacturer changes them. Meaning, if you compile settings.apk from the Android open source project, thats how it's all listed.

Yes. If this was your first flash, we insist you wipe data/cache/dalvik. By wiping data, your apps will be gone. You can use tools like titanium backup if you want, i dont personally, or if you keep up with the ROM you won't have to wipe data again as each upgrade gets flashed over the previous without a wipe.

Your contacts and such can be re-synced back through goggle when you sign into your google account. Also any apps you paid for will still be in the market under Menu > My apps.
