Do you reccomend using Juice Defender with this rom? It does not support cpu speeds for THUNDEROM

I used the app on my hero and didn't seem to work to well. But I decided to try it on this phone running ThundeROM been using for months now. The key is to just enable it on default, then in about a week the you start noticing a big difference. I say with moderate use (texting, web browsing, phone calls, constantly checking rss feeds) it doubled my battery life easily.

Wow really???? I tried this on the EVO and thought it was a pile. I might give it a go on the Optimus. Or sucker Beezy into using it and telling me if its worth my time :D

So what if you get a call and the screens off, does it flip the radio on and let you answer?

It doesn't really turn the radio off, it just turns off your 3g data connection. You'll get all calls, all text messages but it does turn on the data connection for a quick short amount of time for some apps that use sync. I can't remember what the intervals are set at.

Honestly, I tried Juice defender and it didn't do shazbot. Manually turning off stuff myself, I easily get 2 days of light use, or ~18 hrs of heavy use...

I would probably manually do it myself also but I'm forgetful and sometimes lazy so it takes care of it for me.

That's more like me.lol

Btw I would like to say thanks for the ROM, it just keeps getting better.

Thanks!!!

We'll look into changing them but, we didnt change those. Thats how every single android phone is unless the carrier/manufacturer changes them. Meaning, if you compile settings.apk from the Android open source project, thats how it's all listed.

I must have never noticed before then. For example, in the notification box it reads "No notifications". Must have totally overlooked that previously. If you did tend to this it would just be one more thing that you guys do better than Google. Kudos for everyone's hard work and toleration of their angry girlfriends :-) Keep up the good work.

Probably works with it, though I prefer NoBars. Had an odd issue with Juice Defender where I could not receive any text messages while it was installed...

Ok now that I have everything done right and have been experimenting with some customizations I am absolutly in love with thunderom. Finally can have a phone the way I want it. So with that being said I just put my iphone on craigslist. Btw Brezzy I put a pic of the car aa my profile pic enjoy my 440 baby

The kernel included is set to scale from 245min/748 max we changed it since yesterday.lol
Stock scales from245min/600max

hmmm...

Perhaps I should look at that version... the rev I've been running drops to 1xx something for the min...

(sometimes I use my phone as a regular mp3 player... play it over a deck with a 3.5" jack) and noticed it was really choppy...

i'm probably just an idiot but where is this appwidgetpicker you speak of? i see that it is installed and running in my applications but other then that I can't get to it

Long press like you were adding a widget then look at the list "appwidgetpicker" groups all the widgets together that are for the same app.

ohhh thats what it does haha thanks beezy.i thought that appwidgetpicker would let you pick the widget icon for the app or something but whatever not really a problem anyway

An example of this is I use calwidget which comes with 12 different calendar widgets. Typically all 12 show up in my widget list which clutters things up. What appwidgetpicker does is group them as 1, then if I click calwidget it presents me with my 12 choices.

That could be the problem the phone doesn't like to do to much if it's scaled all the way down to 122. Thats why we up'd it back up to 245min in this release.

Wifi

Has anyone had any issues with Wifi? Mine is working fine now, but earlier it was turning off on it's own, then turning on. And I don't mean connecting and disconnecting...I mean the Wifi was turning off in the power bar. So far, everything else seems to work great. This problem has been intermittent however.

Yes, I had the same issue with wifi turning on and off after I update to 1.6. I power cycled the phone and it seems to have fixed it for now.
I'll keep an eye on this and report if it happens again.
I flashed to 1.6.2, so far so good.

I love this version, you guys are great!
