Thats google code app. That's the one causing an issue. Go to the market and download "hotspot widget". The developer listed will be Harald Mueller and it's free.

Download that, add the widget to any screen, and click it.

I have a question about the radio version of this ROM. The first post says that this ROM is based off of v9. My Optimus S should be arriving later this week. I got it off of eBay, and I'm guessing that it will come with v8 software. I was planning on bypassing the SprintID activation screen (as described here: http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-...-followed-complete-blackout-2.html#post444854 ) and then rooting/recovery/ThundeROM before activation. If I do that, will my radio be updated to the v9 radio, or will it still be at the v8 version? Some posts of Zefie's made it seem that the radio update is sort of independent and can only be updated by the official OTA or by using his stock ROM instructions.

You need to do the OTA to V9 if you want the radio.

Thanks. I'm beginning to think that it will just be easier to activate the phone and do the OTA before rooting/recover/ThundeROMing. I like the idea of getting everything on my phone perfect before switching my phone number from my Moment to the Optimus S, but I definitely want that radio as well. Also, it's probably a good idea to activate the phone as soon as I get it so I can verify that the phone I'm getting from eBay isn't stolen or in some other way unable to activated.

Yes it is. Really painless. Thats what I ended up doing. Also a good idea to make sure everything is working properly. Otherwise you will have to swap it at sprint and its better to swap virgin phone then already rooted and flashed

Okay. Now I'm just getting into the bluetooth settings and having problems as well. My issue is when trying to pair with another lg optimus phone it gives me the force close error that the other user was experiencing when using it with his headset.

To replicate the issue just need two lg optimus phones. One rooted with thunderrom and one with everything stock. Turn bluetooth on with both devices. Turn discovery on with the thunder rom phone and search for the phone with the stock one. Once found, try to pair with the phone. The "force close" error will appear on the thunder rom phone as soon as u try to pair. The stock lg optimus does not experience this same issue with bluetooth.

EDIT: by "two others" I mean authors/programmers in addition to the muller guy....

Thats the one I just told you not to use lol. The same one that comes with the rom and was causing you wifi issue.

Use native.

Quick question. Is restoring apps and data using Titanium Backup doable? Meaning when new version of ThundeROM comes out, can I run Apps+data backup in Titanium Backup. Wipe the phone, load new rom and then restore the backup from Titanium Backup app? Or is this a bad idea?

Any pictures in my Picasa account that are ThundeROM related has been completely removed. I know this isn't a "glitch" as some were in different folders, different upload times/dates. All are gone. Even 2 pictures of ThundeROM i didn't even post!! Yet all my personal pictures are just fine.

::sigh:: I hope this doesn't mean what i think it means.

ok so back to the WIFI.... um so i turned on the native wifi app that is located (with the ROM) in the apps menu. It connected to my laptop secured connection, it says it connected @ 54 mbs. i can load the google screen a million times over but as soon as i try to navigate away from google, i get a IE error " unable to display". Ideas?

do ipconfig. do u have an ip? check dns servers are they defined for your connection?
