Thats crazy
was having all sorts of space issues after doing
1.7->6.2->update->1.7
the system was taking up 160mb! according to disk usage
just cleared dalvic cash and reflashed 1.7, down to 52mb

was starting to loose it, even went as far as uninstalling angry birds :(

That may have something to do with what kernel you are on according to what I've been reading. From what I understand, TR 1.7 is based off of and works most efficiently with stock vc kernel. I have 2.6.32.9.

Ya I can't wait for a Kernal that can be oc'd that does not EAT mb's

All you have to do is download cachemate and have it clear every cache from the settings menu including powerclear at regular intervals.

No that is not the issue. There are issues with Xionia Kernel 2.6.32.26 (v008) in which it eats a ton of internal storage space instantly, and slowly continues to eat it for no reason.

Just a glitch.

Yeah I tried that no go, some kind of memory leak or caching of the sprint updates that didn't get cleaned out.

KSmithInNY, I just moved from 1.6 to 1.7 (now running VC). I noticed the CPU runs max at 600 MHz (similar to stock). Is there a means to boost this back to a max of 748 MHz?

By the way, I have played with many ROMS recently (both before and after VC), on my Optimus, your ROMs are by far the most stable (on my machine anyway). Thanks!!

The over clocking kernel Is done by another party/group of people so thats not supported with this new update so they decided to leave it out of 1.7 until its working correctly.

You can flash it manually but its going to be buggy/not worth it. I would just sit tight.

So with the news that the VC update has been pulled, is there a chance that TR 1.7 can be made possible to run on the V9 radio for those that haven't upgraded yet?

I've been looking everywhere and saw that not only sprint sells this phone(unless i was on the wrong threads) but also mpcs and usc(i think) has it too or are planning to. So this brings me to my question. Is there an unbranded LG rom available for this phone. STR8 GENERIC so i could activate on verizon? Is this rom debranded? My GOD this phone is putting a whipping on me LOL!

I went from 1.6 to 1.7 now I keep getting a hands free activation pop up.
I'm afraid something like that is going to happen to me when i flash the rom. How would I go about removing the rom if I have a problem? Would I have to un-root my phone? My phone has been updated to vc using the lg mobile update tool a couple weeks ago. Thanks for your help :)

The LG Voyager on Verizon is pretty much the same phone as far as I know.

Just make a nandroid backup (in recovery) of your current setup, then follow the instructions from this thread to flash. You shouldn't have any issues, 1.7 requires vc.

New update?

I've been on 1.7 for about a week, with no new updating popups, but I see one today for VC again.

I had this same thing happen to me when I tried to pull the newer Sprint apps right from Sprint. All I did was wipe dalvik-cache and cache and then flashed ThundeROM 1.7 again and all has been well again.

So I went from 1.62 I believe to 1.7 and now after Doing a wipe of data, cache, Nd the dalvik... I have no data service.

any thoughts?
running optimus V on virgin mobile.

thanks!
